Change the transparent colour?

Hi everyone,

I read in a skinning tutorial that it is possible to change which colour is used as the transparent colour but I have been unable to find any info on how to do it. I'm completely new to skin editing so if anyone could tell me how I'd be very grateful!

i'm not sure what you mean.?

i've mentioned that the color is pink on my system when i export the images from the skin msz and view them but the theme engine has them as marroon there was some argument between me and i think steegy on it till that was found out.

but mediamonkey's main code auto removes that pink or marroon color, what lesson did you read it in so we can go check
to see what was being said.

I must be a complete dope because I just can't find where I read it! I remember reading something along the lines of "Pink is the transparent colour but never mind because you can change it" but perhaps I misread something. I shall therefore change my question to "Is it possible to use that pink colour in my skin without it turning transparent?"

no. not that color.

you want pink you will have to slightly change pink by lighter or darker red hue in it.
then you will get that as the pink, it will be hard to do because of it being pink and close to what monkey is going to remove.

you must have read my lesson i'll go re read it and see if i need to update it or if i was thinking something else?

Thanks for the help! I have changed the shade slightly and it's working OK in the editor now. I did read your guide but it's apparently not where I got the idea from. Think I must just be going crazy

i ran all through the lessons on the wiki also and could not find it any place there.
you might have read it in a forum post where we were asking if it was possible because i know it was asked before.

glad you got it slightly different enough to use your color pink.

You can make transparency any color when you add the image in theme editor. Use the dropper tool to select the transparency color from the image by clicking that color from the image that you are about to import into the theme editor.
