Hi... I'm a brand new MonkeyMedia user and so far, I'm using MonkeyMedia for podcasts.
I need to stop MonkeyMedia from renaming the files when they are downloaded.
Could someone tell me how to do this?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

At "Download podcasts to:" change the filename to <Filename>

Wonderful...
It works perfectly now.
I knew it had to be something easy but I just couldn't get my head around it.
Thank You,
Eric

I did this and now i have "-Filename-(1)", "-Filename-(2)", "-Filename-(3)", "-Filename-(4)", "-Filename-(5)". What did i do wrong?nohitter151 wrote:Options > Podcasts At "Download podcasts to:" change the filename to <Filename>
This is the entry: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Documents\Music\Podcasts\<Album>\<Filename>
I need to leave the original filename intact because that's the only field where the date is, the title is always identical.
Re: Stop podcast download renaming...
I just tried <Filename> in MediaMonkey 4 and it works as expected. So I don't know if it has been fixed, but in MM4 it works.

It sounds to me like you need to check the box "User friendly masks" at Options > Generalmmfan wrote:I did this and now i have "-Filename-(1)", "-Filename-(2)", "-Filename-(3)", "-Filename-(4)", "-Filename-(5)". It's already checked.nohitter151 wrote:It sounds to me like you need to check the box "User friendly masks" at Options > General
Edit: Found the problem, the localization changed the name of the tags too, so <Filename> was actually <Nome file>.
