Hmm, never seen that before. Line 483 is about the scripts settings which are stored in the mediamonkey.ini file.

Close MM and locate the ini file (search for it), open it up in notepad and then delete the whole section named [AdvDupeFindFix]

Great! Thanks. That solved it. I used my old mediamonkey.ini trying to preserve all setting while migrating from my xp-laptop to a laptop with windows7.
I use the script 'dayly' to find copies with same title+artist...

Hi Bex:

i have finally had a chance to play with the Find More From Same in MM4 and I am getting the following errors with all of my presets, they are all set to use the seeding track. I get these errors when the seeding track is included but if I run the same search without the seeding track I will not get the error but I also will not get any results. There are seven of them but they are all erroring out on the same line so I will only post one pic but their criteria are:

1. artist contains/album equals
2. artist contains/title equals
3. album equals
4. title equals
5. artist equals/album equals
6. artist equals/title equals
7. artist equals

All of these works in MM3.

Does it happen for newly created ones?

Can you try to reinstall the script? (Uninstall first.)

They were upgraded from MM3, but I re-saved them over again. I will try to delete them and then recreate them. One question before I uninstall, if I uninstall will I lose all my saved autosets? I have several custom searches that I would hate to lose.

Btw, even though I selected the option to remove the settings from the ini file, it did not do that. Let me know if you want me to try to uninstall/close mm and manually clear out ini file/reinstall.

After a long debugging session I found the reason to why this is happening. It's a change in SQLite regarding the allowed syntax in its full text search. In the new version of SQLite which MM4 is using, it's no longer possible to do it the way I did it in the SQLite version used in MM3.

I have a quick fix which is easy to apply but I'm not so sure that it will work 100% of the time but I think so. As I see it it will only make the searches slower but still give correct result. Anyway, it will have to do until I've figured out a proper solution.

To apply the fix for MM4 which fixes equal searches in "Find More Form Same", do this:
1. Close MM and open up AdvancedDuplicateFindFixMM3.vbs in a text editor.
2. Locate line 4729 which looks like this:

Thank you it works perfectly and I did not see that much change in the time for it to complete, though I was not doing any searches on anything with a significant amount of results. Thank you for taking the time to offer a fix for this.
