Just a note, I had to comment out the last line (starting with INSERT INTO logs) in order for the script to work at all in MM4. It seems there may be a syntax error or some other reason why that line is erroring out.

If you're getting an UNEXPECTED END OF STATEMENT or similar error when you try to tag files with Discogs Tagger 3.2, try commenting out the last line of the script.

I am also having a problem, within the last week, even though I always download the Large version of the images, the image is downloaded with full size but terrible resolution, as if it downloaded the small version of the image and resized it to the full version. I now have to go download the image from Discogs and then add it manually in MediaMonkey to avoid this problem.

It always used to work before, did Discogs change something about how images are downloaded?

Update: It's not all covers--perhaps it is only if they are over a certain size, or are a certain image type. I have not figured it out yet. Certain ones are full resolution, and certain ones appear to be 150px images resized to the large size.

fixed the problem about the script and added the filter by media format combo box fix. nothing really changed about album art except fixing small images thing. i'll check it and let you know.

Thanks for the update, just a quick question, does this script work well on MM4 or is it buggy? I tried it a few months back and it didn't work at all, so was wondering if its ready for MM4? Thanks!

I am using it in MM4, and aside from the really annoying cover size problem I've been running into, everything else works perfectly.

I had to remove the last line of the script, and use the Manual Installation, to get it working in MM4, but that might be fixed with the absolute latest release.

Once I got past those couple of issues, it's the absolute best tagging experience I've ever had

Note, the cover art problem I have been having finally happened today when I was adding cover art manually, not through the Discogs tagger--so it turns out it's a bug in the MM4 Beta. Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase there

I've never tried MM4 beta. It's for beta testing, I see no reason for using discogs tagger with it. I'll roll a new version once a stable release is out.

There is no reason to use MM4 unless you're interested in beta testing, but there's also no reason not to use the Discogs tagger if you are using MM4. It works fine once it's installed, and it's far and away the best tagger available for MM3 or MM4.

MM4 is very close to being a Release Candidate, so it's actually quite stable. With the latest updates, it's much quicker than MM3 ever was, and gives me fewer problems and crashes as well.

There's no better way to put MM4 through its paces than by using it in my everyday music management--and that heavily involves the Discogs tagger at this point. not only that, but it also helps to test the plugin interface. Now that I think of it, I can't think of many reasons not to use the Discogs tagger... but to each his own.

Hello. I tried downloading the script.
First my WoT turned to red and i had to bypass the warning (at this point, i was decided to run a Virustotal check on the script before installing it). Then, Commodo Secure DNS blocked me from reaching the site.
Is it possible to download the script from a secure place?

since the script has .vbs extension, you might have problems with some antivirus software. you can use the installer...

Sorry i wans't perfectly clear. I can't even reach the site to download the installer. Commodo Secure DNS (it's a different product from Commodo Antivirus, even thought i installed it as part of Commodo Internent Security package) redirects the request to a warning page. Even if i click "Disregard this warning and continue (Not Recommended)", i get caught in a redirection loop that brings me back to the Commodo Secude DNS warning.

BTW, the warning is not about a virus in the file, but reports of phishing for isgreat.org.

isgreat.org is a subdomain service provided by byet hosting and i've selected discogstagger.isgreat.org as homepage for this script. probably some phishing happens in other subdomains of isgreat.org. you can "disregard and continue" for this installation.

hi Let,

I've just installed the latest version (3.2) and entered my api key. Then, I right click on a song and choose Auto Tag From Web. I choose Options and then Discogs tagger. The tagger window opens for a second and then a message window pops up ("error executing script event"). From what I can tell, it looks like the message continually pops up, but it does it so fast, clicking OK in the box has no effect. Another one immediately pops up. It does this for a few minutes and then MM crashes.

I'm using Firefox 5.0, but it was doing this on version 4 as well.

Any ideas on what may be causing this? Any help is appreciated as I still have a lot of tagging to do.
