1381 - Thread Creation Error [#8099]
I keep getting the following error, at first I thought it was due to incompatible scripts but now I get it even I am just adjusting the settings for my portable devices. Any thoughts how to make it go away?

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error
This one is hard to reproduce, it usually happens when I am editing tracks and playing music at the same time. It seems to happen if I happen to hit the properties panel when the track is changing to another playing track but it doesn't happen all the time and my computer happens to change the focus to something else.

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error
Basically, please everyone just ignore this post and move on.
But my experience is: Woe betide anyone who does anything, anything at all, while the track is changing.
It is just something that I (completely happily) live with in MediaMonkey.
Having said that, Nyn, I've never seen an error like that and I've no idea how to help you out.
However, I reiterate:
Woe betide anyone who does anything, anything at all, while the track is changing.
Good luck!

I agree, most problems seem to stem from this right here.

Might stem from a DBlock in that case. I guess it will be many ours of running DBGView to catch it again. I haven't seen it myself.

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error
Thanks for the info.
I'm able to replicate with a script, however, the bug doesn't occur with MM3.

This was fixed in 1406. Please confirm that it works for you.
Thanks.

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error [#8099]
I am getting multiple "Thread Creation Errors" in v4.0.0.1407.
I find that restarting MediaMonkey stops the errors for awhile. But when I shut MediaMonkey down, it stays resident, and I have to go into Task Manager to end the process.

Stigg:
Do they pop up with the same behavior, if so, what behavior?

No specific reason that I can see as to why they pop up. They just pop up randomly, and can multiply quickly.nynaevelan wrote:Stigg:

I have seen this error in MM3 a while ago, but this is the first time that I have seen it in MM4.

I've seen it and it is fixed in 1406 which makes me leery to install 1407 because I do not want them to start again.

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error [#8099]
I'm getting this thread creation error while syncing (or pre-sync actually, right before it starts copying files).
sorry more info
win7 x64
mm4 build 1413
database imported from mm3
syncing all music to a mapped network drive (usbmass plugin)
oh, and it did seem to happen during track change, next track(s) grey out and won't play
----
just tried syncing with no tracks playing and no errors happened, however when I tried to start playing a track (the sync still in progress) tracks grey out and don't play.
I'm assuming I will have to restart MM again to be able to play, but will update when sync finishes
----
confirmed, sync completed, still could not play any tracks (grey out), restarting MM plays tracks normally

Re: 1381 - Thread Creation Error [#8099]
I've not run into this particular situation but when I get it I have the same problem when future tracks playing. I too have to restart MM in order for there to be no problem with tracks playing.

Debug log would be useful to find what is going on.
