I'm running windows 7 have the latest itunes and firmware.
email any help please

You've gotta work your issues out so iTunes can see your iPod. If iTunes can't see it, neither can MM.

I have a 160 GB iPod Classic which I have successfully synced using MM in the past. (I have used MM for years, and for at least 4 with an iPod Classic) In the last month or so, I have encountered this problem, after having cleared everything off to start afresh: Having tagged playlists containing roughly 26,000 songs (primarily whole albums), converted down to 143 GB, when I autosync, the iPod ends up with ~76 GB of music, and 72 GB of free space. MM draws songs very haphazardly from the lists: some albums are complete, some have 2-3 cuts, and other albums are missing altogether. (I do not have the random subset option checked) I have reviewed the guide in this forum, and all my settings are in accordance with the recommendations. Any suggestions?

Hey, everyone.
I recently installed MediaMonkey and came across a HUGE problem.
I can no longer see any music I have downloaded/purchased on itunes. I tried re-downloading the songs from the itunes store app on my ipod(I am using the ipod touch 4g) and they seem to download and process normally. However, when I go into the music app and try to play them, I can't find them anywhere. Can someone please help me fix this? I just got this ipod and I really don't want to mess anything up.

Hey everyone,

There is a problem, that occured now with my Ipod Classis 160Gb. Previously the database synchro worked just perfectly. I've reinstalled the system and downloaded a new version of MM. Tried to synchronize the ipod - everything goes well untill the moment when a programme says: synchronisation... and nothing else is done. I tried to leave the device for several hours - still the same. I also tried to delete all database in my player and to upload it once more with MM. The result is still the same. Auto-sync and auto-unmount is swithed on in the settings, but I have to manually unplug my device ( at that moment media monkey crashes). Please help me with this issue. I really like your programme.

I have already reported this bug. The hang occurs when you have checked the "Automatically unmount" option. It will be fixed in the next release, but in the meantime you can just disable that option to automatically unmount after sync.

another problem - is that MM tries to sync all my videos, located at a default music directory at windows. does anybody know how can I escape this?

Just configure your auto-sync list so no videos are included.

Hey folks,

I just got a new 160GB ipod classic (6th generation with latest firmware update). I have configured it according to this wiki guide:

http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... _ipod_sync

In MM, when I click "Auto synchronize" in the Send to portable device, nothing happens. When I right click my ipod in the Devices tab and select Auto-sync, nothing happens.

I am using MM 3.2.5.1306.

I have never been able to sync to my other portable media devices (4th gen 80GB ipod and Cowon X7) with MM in the two years I've had a gold license for MM. In the past though, MM has been stuck at the "Preparing list of tracks" stage. I left MM on all night and some 9 hours later, that stage was still running, with no tracks on either device. I had thought perhaps that it was due to my library size (350,000+ files), but this problem still occurs after I've deduped the library so that there are about 92,000 files in it.

In other respects, I really like MM, but the inability to sync to my devices is quite frustrating.

My primary question is my first one- why auto-sync isn't even beginning on my current ipod.

(I received an email from MM announcing version 4, and an offer of 25% or so off, but until I can get MM to sync properly, I am going to hold off paying anymore $$ for the application, so buying v4 isn't something I'm too enthusiastic about right now)

Thanks in advance.

Hi nohitter151, I have a 3rd gen iPod touch and MM 3.2.2. I just downloaded iTunes 10 and followed the steps in your guide, but MM is still not recognizing the iPod. Any idea what might be wrong?

My touch is version 4.3.2. iTunes can detect the iPod, but MM can't and even "Computer" can't.

You would need to generate a debug log, see:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69

Be careful though, the link above gives instructions for generating a log with MM4, not with MM3. If you want to debug for MM3 you will need to fine the MM3 debug exe.
