what is WEV format?

what is WEV format?

got the new 5.6 winamp the other day. and it has the wev format listed as a wav format is that a new one or just a typeo in their program? if it is a new one what is the difference between it and wav format? :-?

Must be a typo.

i thought so too, but when i looked at it again there was the normal wav format listed a few up above it? :-?

I don't see any WEV type. There is WEBM type refering to WebM (vp8) Support. Is that it?

Edit: There's a .WVE extension, used by in_wave.dll plugin.

must have been the wve i must have typed it backwards.

not going to be possible the phones don't have enough memory for wav files.
one minute of a wave file takes about 10 mb's of space, and most phones i know don't have that much space unless you
have a memory card you can add in to it.

All you need to do is to export them to a set of WAV files and then you can "open" each WAV file as a new separate Audacity project - and personally I would make sure that you have your import preferences set to "Copy In" "the "Safer" option. It doesn';t actually ediot the WAV file, rather it imports the WAV file in and creates an Audacity project from it.
