Auto Organize and deleting duplicates in Gold

Postby dwerner1969 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 9:36 am

I cant seem to get the auto organize to do do just that. I want a program to sift through my media and delete duplicates and then put a complete set safely in another file for me to enjoy. I have been unable to get this to happen in the free version. If I upgrade to the Gold will this happen or am I asking to much of this program. I see that a lot of peolple rave about Media monkey I am hopeing the Gold will make it work. Thanks for your time. :)

MediaMonkey doesn't auto-delete duplicates as that would be really dangerous (it wouldn't know which copy to keep/which to delete, thus might keep a copy with artifacts and delete a copy that is perfect).

1) You can use Tools > Auto-Organize Files and setup a mask that will result in duplicates having the same folder/filename. This will overwrite them and you end up with one copy. Use at your own risk as there is no way to recover from this.
