Autoconversion FLAC to MP3 to Android device fails

I am trying to sync my Android 4.0 phone to (parts of) my FLAC music library. When syncing the library with autoconversion enabled, all FLAC files fail while all other (MP3) files will be synced correctly.

The Android 4.0 phone is connected as WMDM device.
I also tried syncing to an USB stick (as a mass storage device): MP3s get copied to the stick, but FLACs are not converted and ynced due to errors.

The same process works very well with my two iPods!

Any ideas, what I might be doing wrong?

They all say (german language) "Konvertierung der Datei \\NAS\Music\xyz\abc.flac fehlgeschlagen" (translated "Conversion of file \\NAS\Music\xyz\abc.flac failed").

Autoconversion worked with the debug version!

Then I reinstalled the non-debug version again: Autoconversion failed again.

After downloading the same MM version again and now installing with admin privileges, autoconversion works with the non-debug version, too!
