Control MM from the Windows lock screen?

I have my MM computer in my dining room. I have to set the Screensaver to a fast timeout otherwise my kid won't leave it alone. Trouble is, it's a pain to unlock it to access MM.
I wondered if any of you smart monkeys knew of a way to get MM controls onto the Lock screen in Windows so that you can skip songs and control the volume without unlocking the computer? You can do this with various Android apps so I wondered if it were possible in Windows also.
