stop MM from recognizing Kindle

I have a Kindle Touch. No music at all. If MM is running and I plug the Kindle in (I use Calibre to manage books) MM will recognize it, install its device plug-in. It may also cause a problem with Calibre, with both apps trying to access the device.

I would prefer that MM never recognize the Kindle at all. Is there a way to do this??

Disable it from Tools > Options > Portable/Audio Devices.
