Something listed under Media Servers and I can't Remove

Post by Gretchen »

Just out of curiosity I clicked "Media Servers" and a co-workers computer appeared there. I want to remove it but when I right click "Remove" is grayed out.

I know I can hide Media Servers from displaying in the tree... but why can't I delete it?

And this doesn't mean they can see anything of mine does it?

I don't think you can hide individual Media Servers. MediaMonkey by default doesn't have its Media Server enabled so unless you enabled it (or run any other software with media sharing) it can't be seen by others.

I'd like an answer to this as well. I have a server in here that's my son's PC, which doesn't even have MM installed, but DID (until I changed it) have the I.P. briefly of my server. Now that I've corrected the I.P. issue, I still see the wrong server. The functionality must be there, or why would it be greyed out?

Hi,
It is grayed out as MMW on this PC do not have enough rights to terminate Media Servers on other PCs.

Have you tried to disable any Media Servers and Media Sharing on affected PC?

Note that Media Servers will show and capable DLNA servers on the same Network. This can be other MediaMonkey installations, but often are Windows/WMP DLNA sharing. You can't hide MediaMonkey servers from showing, it's up to others to not have a Media Server enabled.
