music files not showing up in MM from 4S IPhone

Hey--
Updating to the latest beta release doesn't seem to change things. Music files on the iPhone originally added with iTunes don't display on MM.

When you browse the iPhone in iTunes, do the tracks that were originally synced via the iPhone still appear? Do they play? (I'm wondering if your MediaMonkey settings were to delete tracks that weren't on the sync list).

Do they still not appear in MediaMonkey 4.0.5.1488?

whoops...with 4.0.5.1488 and 1499 now even files I added with MM are not showing up...only the last 3 albums I added. Nothing shows up in iTunes b/c I changed computers and haven't synced since so it won't display any music I loaded on with iTunes on another laptop or with MM...

Hi, I have a similar experience that when I synced tracks by iTunes on one computer and then run iTunes on another computer then iTunes deleted all the music from my iPhone previously synced by another instance of iTunes.

Please ensure that in iTunes you have following checkboxes in proper state:
[ ] Open iTunes when this iPod is connected
[x] Manually manage music and videos

If you have this checkboxes OK (the first unchecked and the second checked) then iTunes shouldn't touch the music synced by MediaMonkey.
Could you confirm?

You click on your ipod in the sidebar, its at the bottom on the right-hand side in the main window of itunes.

ok...when I try to do that it says my iphone is synced with another itunes library...do I want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library...am I going to lose everything if I do that?

ok, I did that and now in mm under music for the iPhone no files at all show up. completely blank. All the music is still on the iPhone.

Hey, can anybody help with this? Basically at this point, I can keep adding files via MM but all of the music on my iPhone doesn't show up afterward even though its still on the phone. I just want to be able to back up my iPhone and manage music. I'm afraid if I sync with iTunes on a new laptop I'll lose not only my music but also pictures, apps, etc. What's the best way to get back on track? Basically, this is all because my old laptop with iTunes died and I had to start using a new laptop. This is why I've never used iTunes from the start, all of this ridiculous security...

What model, what iOS, what version of MediaMonkey?

iphone 4S, os 5.1.1, MM beta 4.05.1491.

You should try with 1493 as that is the latest build.
