No sync with iPhone 4

Postby Michael-Keizer » Sun Jun 10, 2012 4:59 am

I have MM 4.05.1496 Gold and am trying to sync my songs with my iPhone 4. The syncing process seems to go well, however, the songs are greyed out when I try to play them on my iPhone; furthermore, although I can see the songs in my MM library under the iPhone branch, I cannot play them from there (song lenghth indicated as 0:00), even though I can play the originals perfectly well from the music branch in the library.

Would anyone have any idea what is going on here what I can do about it?

Thanks,
Michael

1) Clear all files from iPod with MM
2) Sync single file with iTunes
3) Do regular sync with MM

Does it still happen?

I have the same exact problem, but in my case I cant sync anything with itunes, since I have no sim in my iphone 4.
How could I make it work?
Iphone 4 16gb /iOs 5.1 Windows 7/MM (free version)

It seems you may need the sim to activate the iPhone: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/35 ... 0&tstart=0 after that it should work without sim though.

Sorry for the late response -- I was abroad for a while.

Yes, it still happens -- no change. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

After following the suggested steps?

If so try with 4.0.6.1499 and if it still happens create a debug log (step 4b) with the debug version of 4.0.6.1499 and send it to support.

Sorry, yes, after following the steps.

I will try the new version and upload a debug if that still doesn't work. Thanks again!

Hi guys,

lately i switched from iphone 4 to iphone 4s and therefore had to face this synch problem (again). I think i found a nice way to work around it.

My method:

1. iTunes: create a new playlist (Ctrl + N).
2. Media Monkey: go to the playlist you want to synch with your iphone. Mark a random song then press Ctrl + A so all the songs will be marked. After that click Ctrl + C to copy all songs.
3. iTunes: open the playlist (step 1) in a new window and press Ctrl + V so all the songs will be copied to your playlist in itunes from where they can be sent to an iphone/ipod/etc.

I don't know if somebody already recommended this method. For me it works great (i have a playlist with more then 1000 songs).

Greets,

Lukas

I just tried this with my itouch... and it's working!
This is the only way to sync some playlist for now.
Thanks :)
