You don't have to enter the IP-Adress of your MM-PC on your phone?
What do you mean with "setup my firewall correctly". What exactly do you have configured?
Thank you for your more detailed informations!

I was about to ask the same question:
I am using BubbleUPnP player (Android) which can search in DLNA/UPnP server library but it looks like MM4 don't support it
Seems that this specific question was not answered though. The question was not about support of BubbleUPnp, but about the support of search through UPnP. So, is there any chance MM will support UPnP (from other devices on MM UPnP server) search any time soon?

I just downloaded BubbleUPnP today and came here looking for an answer to this same question. Thank you for adding it to the list. I will be looking forward to it!

Hi,
Here is what you will do go to Tools -> Options -> Media Sharing, Create/Add New UPnP/DLNA Server and write down port it will be on.

than go to http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and test internet port availability (open) if it is not open than your ISP Modem/router is not forwarding ports correctly whose address you can easily see in Network Sharing Center -> Full Map as Gateway device whose address you need to enter in Browser and set forwarding ports under NAT settings.

Thanks for the help. I went into my router settings and forwarded the ip port listed in my MediaMonkey Server settings. I even confirmed that that port is open with the url you provided.

Unfortunately that does not enable UPnP Search for me. Maybe I am misunderstanding your directions?
Thanks so much for your help.

EDIT: I should add that I have no problems connecting to my MM DLNA Server from BubbleUPnP, it just won't let me search. BubbleUPnP says that the library does not support UPnP Search."

:o Holy Crap!
I just noticed the new beta version of the MM Android Player. And I was very stoked to see that it allows UPnP/DLNA support!!!! I am very excited!
The only bad thing is that I just shelled out $5.00 for BubbleUPnP. :(

I agree! At least it is for now...
Even still, I would be willing to shell out some more money for a gold version of MMA. It is worth it to me.

To revive this thread, MM doesn't seem to support UPnP search telling from the popular BubbleUPnP on Android (within same network using wireless lan).

I will get a message box telling me that this library (MediaMonkey) doesn't support UPnPSearch. I am able to search within the currently displayed list within the UPnP navigation tree, but that's locally (i.e. BubbleUPnP will search the currently opened list view). Turning the "force library search even if device tells you it's not capable of doing UPnP search" on doesn't help (experimental upnp feature in BubbleUPnP).

Any solution on that?

According to Ludek's reply above, the UPnP search will be available in MM 4.1.
