Windows Design Overwriting MM Design

Post by DavidZweistein »

Hi,
I am using Media Monkey with Windows 8, and I have the problem that when I set in the Windows Aero Design the Windows color to any color, that the taskbar changes color with the windows design, when the MM Windows is active:

The problem is when I want a black window color, I cant read the taskbar anymore...

Putting new designs in MM and ticking/unticking the "overwrite design with windows standard" doesnt change anything.

I know its sort of a minor problem :D, but still it would be nice to either fix this, or change the font color, something that i can still read it.

Thanks anyways!

Sorry, I don't think there's a solution to this.

What I mean is, there isn't an immediate solution. It's a bug that should be addressed in a future release.

[bug#10536] Windows Design Overwriting MM Design

Post by DavidZweistein »

Hi,
when Media Monkey is used with Windows 8, the "Windows Aero Design" overwrites the MediaMonkey Design with the "Window Color" that choosen. This is a problem when the window color is black, because then the letter of the taskbar cannot be read anymore:
http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/6805/80972645.png

Putting new designs in MM and ticking/unticking the "overwrite design with windows standard" doesnt change anything.

I hope this is an easy-to-fix bug and will be fixed for the next MM Version!

(If it isnt a bug, please write me how to change it!)

Thanks!

David

I can confirm this,
all text in Aero areas (frame ,AeroPlayer) displays in black ,on Win 7 withe a withe background shadow,

but in Win 8, MS reduce the use of Aero style, and no withe aero shadow is used for text!

(Aero text color can't be change via skinning) :-?
