Album art selected for preview / full size

I have two questions regarding the display of album art:

First, some of the album art previews in the main tracks panel (view set as "show art & details") don't display the image set as no. 1 (i.e. the main cover in my case), as set in the track / album preferences. However, they do so correctly in the larger "art & details" panel (<ctrl>+>alt>+<a>). See screenshot.

Also, double clicking on the larger "art & details" panel (<ctrl>+>alt>+<a>) will not bring up a floating window displaying the full size image, as in previous versions, but the track properties. The context menu entry "show full size" (or whatever it is in English) available for the images in the main tracks panel (see above) is not available here.

1) Likely the wrong image in cache. You can remove the MMCache**********_* folders from the MediaMonkey Temp folder (set under Tools > General) to refresh the cache.

2) This was removed, has been discussed.

Choice of forum because both issues seem to be beta bugs to me, that don't appear in 4.0, but thanks for your hints.

I believe it is only possible from the Properties dialog. I also see that it's possible from the Player (MetroMonkey_Light) skin.

OK I found the previous discussion thread, but it's not clear to me why the command to open full size art window wouldn't fit into the context menu - just like it is in the main track list window.

Deleting the Temp\MMCache folder will help, but not sustainably.

Just added a few new albums with correctly sorted album art and the album cover & details view will show me the wrong art (supposedly as #1 'cover' art).

Sounds like you may have bad tagging. In other words new files may belong to existing Albums according to MediaMonkey (same Album and same Album Artist values).

Interesting thought, I know what you mean, but that cannot be the case.

I added "The Great Summit: The Master Takes" by "Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington". That's the only album, artist and album artist I have by this name in my database. Also, I added "The Complete Studio Recordings (Disc 2 - The Immortal Mississippi John Hurt)" (also: disc 1 and 3) by "Mississippi John Hurt". Same here. The problem occurs with many other albums as well. My guess therefore would be that's it's not related to "duplicates" but some processing problem.

As I wrote, the "Art & Details" windows always shows the correct art (#1 in order, cover art). The "wrong" art (always correct album but not #1 artwork in the order) problem affects the hover 'context' information panel (mouse over track) as well as the main window's "show art" / "show art with details" modes.

Interesting: after adding the new albums and seeing the wrong art, I deleted the MMCache folder and restarted MM. Now there's a difference in display:

- Now playing hover panel shows wrong art (last one in artwork order).
- auto playlist 'added recently' shows correct art (cover) in "show art with details" mode.
- node 'all music' > 'artist & album artist' as well as 'album' show wrong art (cover) in "show art with details" mode.

Is there anything I can do to isolate the cause of this?

I deleted MMCache set under Tools/Options/General, started up MM and navigated to library/artists/"Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington". Large image view was fine (as always), "Show art with details" view wrong. All plugins and scripts are disabled.
