Postby andy-d » Fri Jan 20, 2006 5:28 pm

hi there,

i try to sync my ogg files to my t30 but mm always try to convert em to mp3

i removed all active auto-convert enabled settings

mm shows me the t30 only support mp3 and wma, but thats wrong.
mp3, wma and the one and only ogg

is there a way to sync ogg with mm ?

OGG support on iRiver devices

Postby rusty » Thu Feb 09, 2006 1:16 pm

Andy,

This sounds like a bug--most likely due to the fact that the iRiver device doesn't communicate via the MTP plugin the fact that OGG is a supported format. Will look into this.

thanks, i still got some mailcontact with jiri because of this problem.

so far i know iriver hasnt documented the devices very well so jiri tries to get one of these devices, think he cant get enough information from my debug logs

iRiver T30 - OGG won't recognise

Postby RichT8496 » Sun Mar 26, 2006 6:46 pm

I'm having same problem as many...

Media Monkey keeps trying to convert OGG to MP3 when syncing to T30.

Why can't T30 recognise OGG?

This is seriously annoying as all my music is OGG and that's the exact reason I bought iRiver T30

got some contacts in the past with jiri
after send him multible debug logs and some special exes from him we given up because the t30 documentation from iriver crap.

fact is, a example device is needed, so the dev team can test in realtime

another fact is: mtp sucks

i have a t30 and figured it out... the Media folder on the t30 won't read ogg files... you have to put them in the "Data" Folder. However, MediaMonkey will not sync with the t30 directly to the Data folder, and transferring becomes a pain. I've been trying to figure out an easy way to transfer music to my device for the last 3 days... but to no avail.

But at least you can play oggs.

Slightly OT, but the iAudio players play and sync OGG files no problem.
