Why dont you install it and try?

because if it did not then i would have messed up my registry system again and have to do more unistalling.

i thought if some one could read the description on that page and tell me if it could then i would install the program. but if they told me it did not then i would not install it as i don't like doing bunch of installs on a system of programs i don't need. 8)

that's why

never mind i fianlly got the home page of the author to load and found the following information on their home page.

In addition to Exportizer features, Exportizer Pro gives you ability to:

- Open Microsoft Access (MDB), Interbase (GDB, IB), Microsoft Excel (XLS), HTML and UDL files.
- Export a whole folder at a time from the command line.
- Specify custom increment number for Increment Field Value function.
- Specify a custom encoding for XML and HTML export.
- Export data to dBase 5.

thats the point i only want to use it one time

to make that change in the database to allow me to get the weekly only top 50 list i asked about in the script forum some one in there said to make the change in the databas? ( i think it was you steegy? )

but i only want to use it for that one thing so paying for it for one use is not my idea of spending (what left over christmas money i have) very wisely.

believe it or not i have been out of work since 1996 and am really broke.
and my sister don't want to buy access because she has no need for it at her job and don't want to use it. she is paying for all the stuff now and is having a hard time of it. i would get a job if some one would pay me for what i know how to do but nobody will pay for that anymore they hire mexican workers because they are cheaper to hire.
and i require 30 us dollars an hour.
i use to make 70 us dollars an hour driving truck but it cost me 75 dollars / per hour to own and run my own truck so you know how broke i am.

which is why i am looking for free stuff. i would spend my left over chrstmas money on the gold version of monkey if i had a way to send it by snail mail. i can see buying media monkey as a wise way of spending money.

Don't worry, I'm currently testing some free programs and will get back with the results.
If we can't find a free&good editor, then we still can do it with scripting.

Just don't think about buying such stuff again...

EDIT: Top 50 List thread (for reference): http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8573

A free program that can do what you need: DB-Tool ( http://www.download.com/DB-Tool/3000-20 ... ag=lst-0-1 )
Install it.
Don't let it restart your computer
Don't let it open the "server managment" thing
In the start dialog, choose "open program"
meny File > Open... > browse for MediaMonkey.mdb (normally in "My Documents\My Music\MediaMonkey") and open it
Double-click the "playlists" entry in the left column
Click on the last row in the table and press the arrow down key to add a new row. Now fill in the entries mentioned in the above referenced post. Also a more detailed explanation in that same post.
You can use the already existing auto-playlists as example (these have isAutoPlaylist = 1)

This doesn't do the exact thing you asked (each week a new list), but it makes a scrolling timeframe playlist (timeframe is always 7 or 8 days).
If this really bothers you, it'll have to be scripted anyway. But that could take a time, as everyone seems to be quite busy these days.

Cheers

I wasn't testing, I started testing because you needed a solution.
A solution is mentioned in the above post. Please give it a try.

I still have that program installed, so if you have any questions, shoot them...

the warning i have for the virus scann just came on my computer i have to get off line while it does that for a couple hours on this one.

i will copy the infor you gave me and try it on the win 98 later.

steegy?

some one sent me the MDB viewer plus program and said it is the simplest one to use just start and click on the tabs and lines to get what you want to edit in the mdb no trouble with it at all no install no registry mess up or stuff like that?

i am not sure which one to use now. as you said not to restart the program you found and not to let it start server?

the sever thing seems strange to me? but the whole database thing is strange to me?

just wanted to give you this info and let you know what is going on now?

i have not done anything yet.

It really doesn't matter what program you use. You just need a program that can do it, and that's easy and free.

I didn't test the "MDB viewer plus" program, but when I look at the screenshots (website found with Google), it looks like a nice application. So this program will probably work very good as well.
As reference: http://www.alexnolan.net/software/mdb_viewer_plus.htm

Screenshot from the DB-Tool program:
Image

It adds the "jkgjhfhjfg" autoplaylist correctly to MM. I used the values that I posted in the other thread. Be careful, the text box you see in the screenshot contains more text than is displayed...

Result in MM:

The text box is for the QueryData field.
Double click the rectangular box (within the new row and in the QueryData column) to edit the value in it as "MEMO". It will open the text box so you can paste the code and apply. Changes are automaticly saved so don't search for a "save (as...)" option, because it's not there.
