MiniLyrics Error Code 17
Re: MiniLyrics Error Code 17
adding settings to host file worked! cheears!!! n lots of thanks. my life is back to normal
Re: MiniLyrics Error Code 17
I added the two lines into the hosts file, I think I made everything correct, but I still get the error 17. I could search for lyrics but can't download them.
This is what my hosts file looks like:
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
74.208.224.110 minilyrics.com
74.208.224.110 www.minilyrics.com
Did I something wrong or the minilyrics down?
Hopefully, someone could help me.

Have you pressed Enter to put empty line at the end? (it should be there)J-Gartenzwerg wrote:Did I something wrong or the minilyrics down?

You may need to right click and rename your file to just 'hosts' if it has the '.old' on the end. Then you can edit it in notepad.
For easily do this. Copy the file called 'hosts' to desktop. Edit it, place the above lines then save. Copy it back to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ , and tada!
Re: MiniLyrics Error Code 17
I have the same problem under windows10 and changed the file hosts.txt and copy the two lines; see my file:

Re: MiniLyrics Error Code 17
Sorry that I answer a bit late, had no time to test.
I needed to add 2 empty lines at the end of the hosts file, and now it WORKS!
My OS is Windows 10
Thanks for your responses!
