Devices with 2 SD cards [#14305]

Post by munci »

I have not been able to wifi sync my SD Card 2 on Pioneer XDP-100. Everything else seems to be working as intended, including syncing to SD Card 1. In sync settings, there is no option for a second SD no matter what I try. MMA sees the card in Folders, adds card files to library, and plays files in SD card slot 2 after copying from MMW on a PC using a card reader. Are we not there yet, or am I missing something?

Hi,
Multiple sync storage options are in work. Can you please when you open MMA follow these steps:
1. Use folder icon to see if all storage are seen and just navigate each one so that you confirm access to them
2. Open "..." -> Options -> and scroll down to see which sync locations are available
3. Go back to main screen and again use Folder icon to browse to SDCard that is not seen if available
4. Use "..." -> About MediaMonkey -> Send logs -> fill the form and remember LOG ID before you send log
5. Reply here with LOG ID from step 4

That should give us enough info to see how MMA sees your SDCards and give us needed feedback in order to faster implement multiple storage support.

Thank you for the log. You didn't permit access for writing for the second SD card so it is read-only. You granted permission for your first SD card and for some other storage (you have probably switched or formatted the SD card). But you should grant permission for the SD card too. Please go to options and select Grant access to external storage and proceed with the second SD card.

Thanks for looking into it. I was not able to find a way to change SD card access options either in MMA options or Android options for MMA. Would you be able to instruct exactly where this is set?

I, too, am interested in the ability to sync my music library to a device with 2 SD cards. My device is a Fiio x5 III, but this configuration is becoming increasingly common in many portable players. To my knowledge, there is no currently available Windows software that will do this, though there is a good Apple app called "Dapper."

Munci, do you mean to say that MediaMonkey will now sync to devices with 2 SD cards? If so, that's big news! How does one do that?
