Artist Images searching

MM is continually searching for images even though i have all the options relating to finding images turned off.

i have turned off the automatic search too. I am not quite sure, but MM may remember images when i did a wikipedia research (via 'Find more from same ...') for there are images of artists or composers from time to time.

Currently artist/album image in artist/album view (i.e. detail of one artist/album) is always looked up. It is by design, the image link is sometimes read from MusicBrainz database, so it is not always really "search". The image is saved to MM cache, so it is searched/downloaded only once. Automatic search affects mass searching in image grids.

Is there a way to force the system to download images? I have 337 artists in my sample db for MM5 and it only shows 3 images. This is odd as every time that I force a search it finds multiple images. There are not way off artists but main stream ones.

Just open Options - Library - Metadata lookup and switch "Look up missing artwork" on. Then open list of artists ("Artists" node) and wait in grid view. It should sequentially search for every artist, which is currently displayed.
