Is there a way...
Is there a way to add/rescan tracks [just the CD track list, not the music] to the library from the internet? In other words: rather than unwrap a CD and scan it in the CD drive, just download the info from Amazon or another site?

Sounds a bit like you look for a program similar to Ants Movie Catalog

There you just write the name of the movie, and it picks up info about it from the net, and store it locally. Maybe there are similar software for music, don't know.
Guess with music it is more common to have the songs stored on the HDD.
