Hi.

As promised before, I'm releasing the newest skin-version with Alpha 4. You need Alpha 4 to get the last changes. Download the zip-format and run the MediaMonkey-installer. Easy as hell :)

WoW! That installation is just amazing, so easy! I am gonna test your skin right now, but I must say that it looks great!

Awesome. Perfect. Superb.

One suggestion is to change the font size and position of the time display so it is more WMP like.

Ootherwise all is good.

Morten - looks great. One change I would suggest is to make the backgrounds (for things like the track list and browser panes) a little darker. Still keep them light but just a little darker. They seem a little stark right now. Also, I received an "Access Violation" error when running the installer.

I gotta say I continue to be impressed. I love all the new functionality of the MM3 skinning and think you've done an incredible job using them.

Eye candy is what brings new users (functionality and reliability is what keeps them) and this theme is more than eye candy. Keep up the great work.

I don't know where the entry is, but if someone could tell me I'll update it right away.

my ........... morten you mean you dont have any idea how to edit the images in photo shop? the list view the album view and the tree view and the now playing view backgrounds are all the sdb background images.

go to the misc..tips page on the wiki and read my adding image tip to see how mm 3 handles those background images. only the tree background is handled the same as the mm 2 skin.

they are also controled by adding the list view and the now playing sdb backgrounds in the theme.mskn the defalt skin
has the images both in the main folder for the skin and in the theme.mskn so i am not sure which it really finds just change the images and put them in the main folder for your skin and in the theme.mskn file.

didn't you ever unzip the default skin to see what went where and what did what before you started with the coding by files?

those backgrounds are the biggest grip i have on all other skins then mine because i change them.

the client pad will be useds in lots of the text areas for coloring.

the text area for coloring the background on the comments area in the properties panel is controled by the window's text area of the desktop theme of the user's computer.
atleast it is on my computer.

i just thought you're pulling our leg with that not knowing stuff right?,
oh also i only found the one microplayerH. in the skin did you not make one of the microplayerV files? just copy everything
for your microplayerH file and change the names for the copied files from h to v as in

microplayerV.ini
microplayerV.mskn

in the code for the mskn make sure you also change the name in it to v

I'm still learning the theme.mskn. I still think it's messy, and it will be optimized in the future I'm sure. Ok, so what entry is to change library view?

Here is how I want it explained;
Theme.mskn>Main object>Sub object etc. Then I can understand what you mean, because I know you have lots of information to give.

its not done that way morten.

the image is found by the skin program just
like the map image is found.

just change the images and stick them in the mskn file
and in the main folder of your skin. the mask below
tells you what i am calling the main folder.

c:\program files\media monkey 3\skins\wmp11(main)\theme\theme.mskn

the word main in that mask is just to show you which i call main.

but the images are not used in the mskn objects their just in the file. and in the main folder.

the theme.mskn is not messy it is cleaned up from mm 2 skins.

You can say how much you want, but the theme.mskn is not systematic. Not that I care too much as long as there are good guidelines. Although I know we will have both things by the MM3 final.

And I forgot that they were OUTSIDE the mskn-file. That doesn't make sense either. It's messy, EOD.

Edit: They have nothing to do with that. It has to be inside the theme.mskn itself.

oh so it does use the ones on the inside of the mskn file.

that does make the whole thing a little messy then.
i just kept putting them where i found them to make sure
they were able to be used. i'll try taking them out of the main folder for the skin and see if that makes my skins a lot smaller in size.

gotta get them small as i can, to have more room on my site's server for more skins 8)

My mediamonkey can't show the "&"-sign in the player. If I play a song by "Simon & Garfunkel" it shows "Simon _Garfunkel".

This is a known bug and will be adressed asap.
