Moved MM to Vista and having big problems with the Direct Sound Output. Every time I start to play something an error pops up Error 88780088 saying device not found. This is because despite me selecting my sound card-SBAudigy, as the output in the Direct Sound Output settings MM constantly defaults to the Primary Sound Driver on restart. I have to manually reset the plugin to SBAudigy every time and even then I get no 5.1 sound only front speakers working. The sound card and drivers work fine when testing with the sound card software so Im thing this must be a MM problem.
Anyone any suggestions how I can fix this?

MM2 and the plugins are not designed for Vista, so this might be one of the Vista incompatibility issues. MM3 (currently in Alpha development phase) is designed to be fully working on Vista. If you want, you can check it out here.
