This marvelous script stopped working for me:
I added a bunch of new tracks, ran the script and it found no dupes. I rescanned all my music, reinstalled the script, rebooted, and then it found just a couple, but I know there are many dupes. I even took one track and deliberately made several copies in the same folder, then rescanned, but the script does not find the dupes. It worked before, so I'm puzzled.

I have looked but haven't read all 75 pages

I have installed the addon and gone to TV->Advanced Duplicate->Folders with and it has started reading files.

I know the folders that I want to compare so is there a way to do that.

For example I have ripped the tv series 3rd rock from the sun. 142 files. Now my early rips were in avi and I want to convert files to mp4. So I do the conversion to a secondary folder.

How can I merge the mp4 to the avi files?

I have 146K music files, 12K tv files and 3K movies (lifer collection with little else to do ) so if it trys to read all those files it will take forever.

Thoughts on how to shortcut the process.

You do the conversion, then select old files, right click > Copy Metadata. Then select the new files and Paste Metadata.

On the MM 4.1 beta if I plug my phone in with this extension it will cause many problems, eventually freezing or crashing MM. I have only used it to copy basic meta-data in the beta but for the most part it still seems to work. Just has issues with my android phone.

Is this extension still being maintained?

Are you using the Addon on your phone? I've not noticed any issues.

The issue occurs when I plug my phone into my computer (via USB) and MM beta (4.1) tries to scan it. If disable or remove advanced duplicate find and fix this problem goes away. Not entirely sure that this script is the cause, but I do get an error message about an error in this script.

Edit: looks like the script has nothing to do with the problem, just fluke that it went away when I disabled the script.

I seem to have seen this too with a SD card. Started with a bunch of d_WMDM.dll errors when browsing the card, then a catastrophic failure and an Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix error message. Result that MM wouldn't close anymore.

I am working on a 140K+ database where I believe about half is duplicate for various reasons.

Half of it is on my NAS and the other half is on my pc. It took me 24 hours to read the entire thing.

However for the last 2 days the Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix tool is "reading files..." Do I keep waiting? it seems like something is wrong?

What should I do?

No but you can do a search with this script after you have imported the tracks. You can use Recently Imported playlist as a base for the search.
