currently I'm going for a fairly "generic" skin so that it can't possibly clash with anything els on the computer or any of the album artworks...

but I may add the green colour for tracklist selections..etc.

however, I'm not fussed about doing it now because everything I change is getting organised into one psd file so that I can make other skins later far quicker. Or other variations of this skin.

thanks for the input... I'm also just a little sick of hte green a bit myself because it's been my desktop BG for AAGGESS!

Release it DaledeSilva!

edit: I have a couple of questions

1. Will this work with MM 3?

2. Can you include a guide (or send one to me, whichever one) on how to change certain aspects of the skin like the scrollbar color, or the color of the library window (alternating white and grey) etc. when you release the skin?

3. approximately when will this be available?

lol... okay.. I'll work on it tonight..

oh.. and verdict seems to be that skinning wont change in MM 3.0 apart from the actual player.

thanks for the support guys...

actually, development on it has hit a snag...
mentioned here:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15172
(which means text on a black skin is also black - and unchangeable)

and also this is something which I would 'like' fixed:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 6199#76199

however, both these simply mean that I can't make a "Black" skin.. I can still make a lighter skin and will do so when these changes are made they will only work for people who have MM 3.0 anyway.

lastly.. it will take a little longer for my skin anyway because I'm making it out of one PSD so that all the elements are there and can be edited easily to make variations and new skins quickly and easily... I then intend to post the PSD file also so that others can make skins easier. But it needs to be complete or there's no point doing it.

You know, this would be something like a God's gift (certainly from an experienced designer like you).

Again drunk while posting...

what's with the fine print? sure am glad i got a zoom on this but what a strange little comment that was? and yes it was little in both ways?

just thought if you zoom in to 150% to read that small print.

you will see the size of fonts i have on my system here that i can't get to be large enough to read.
and that is the what happened when i got the ie 7. :(

To read this kind of small things, I usually copy them to a text field that displays it in normal size. Usually I can read the small text as it is though (it also depends on screen size/resolution).
I put it there just in case that I say something (very) stupid 8)

@DaledeSilva

You could still release it, some people (like me) wouldn't care about the font problem, they would just be happy to have a new skin!

actually.. I started re-laying out the psd file and working and completely rebuilding my skin using the default skin (so that I didn't miss any elements)... but it's a big job... I'm gonna continue preparing the psf file.. but I've decided I'm not gonna start putting it into the theme engine until MM 3.0 alpha comes out. Because it'll be too much work to do it twice.

...
Why can't you just submit the one that you have already made that is in the screen shots, then we can put a player in by ourselves. Pretty please? 8)
