amazing how the touch and iphone really seems to use slightly different databases or structures for music as I do not have that problem with the touch 2.2.
hope we get a fix soon.

GOD DAM IT!
sync works but my recently played (i have a smart playing in MM) does not get updated any more with stuff I played on my touch... it did work beforehand. now it doesnt?!
my classic syncs both ways and recently played stuff on it does get added to my recently played smart playlist in MM.
I use this to play songs I did play on my ipods during the day to sync with last.fm (i play they muted at night)

I have the same issue course for me it happened with 2.1 also. I also do not get ratings on the ipod to sync back. It is extremely annoying! And yet no one seems to confirm the issue. My classic syncs back fine, my touch does not. Today I even did a restore of the touch and did NOT restore to a backup but just as it was in the factory. Still no luck.

For the first times, everything went back the next time i "synced" with media monkey again. But now even mediamonkey doesn't realize that i already have all music on it. So now my phone is full of "other". I guess i'll have to manually delete everything using SSH.
Are mediamonkey developers aware of this problem?

It's quite weird.
Yesterday night, iphone 2.2 sync the last listening date but not the listening count.
This morning, iphone 2.2 sync the last listening date and the listening count.
This afternoon, iphone 2.2 does not sync anymore.
There is something to do, but what?

Doesn't work at all for me. Says "The iPhone/iPod firmware is not compatible with this version of MediaMonkey. You'll be able to view the contents of the device, but will not be able to write to it."
This is a new iPod Touch on Vista x64 with lastest MM 3.0.6

Tried downgrading but I wasn't able to.

just got a touch 2 days ago. Latest MM version. iTunes (or touch) is set to manually manage music and videos.
Got apps, videos and photos synced and MM for Music.
All works, however I do have the feeling MM does twice as long as iTunes to sync music
Could you elaborate on "latest MM version" ? I got a touch today and am using the latest non-Beta (latest 3.0.6) which claims to support the 2nd Gen iPod Touch.
My firmware is 2.2 (5G77a).

Latest MM version is 3.0.6.1190 (available from mediamonkey.com/download/). Worked for my iPhone fine. If you have problems with that latest version and 2.2 you should contact MM support.

You've got something set wrong then. It's fine for 1400 tracks on my touch with firmware 2.2.
I don't have art in the tags, it's stored as folder.jpg on the hard drive and in the MM sync options I have it set to put it as folder.jpg on the device and not to add to the tags when converting.
Check your settings against the sticky posts in this forum, then remove all songs from the touch. Disconnect the touch from the computer. Reconnect it, then resync it.

this works if i only use mm or only use itunes, using both causes the album art problem.

Just bought a Touch last night., updated on my laptop (via itunes) to FW2.2.
and set it to sync manually.
Now, on my desktop MM doesn't even recognize the Touch at all.
Any ideas?
I don't have itunes installed on the desktop machine.
Cheers
