Dypsis,
I can't seem to replicate the issue with any of my flac test tracks, and I'm wondering if the issue is specific to the format of tracks that you're using. Can you send me a set of tracks from step 1 (PM a mediafire or yousendit link to me) ? Then I can use the auto-tag function and replicate the problem myself.
btw, when you use the auto-tag function, do you save album art to the tag or to the album folder?
Thanks!

Rusty,
Are you talking about the Auto-Tag from Filename function? If so, then I don't use it.
I tag everything manually. And I save everything to the tag.
The truncating of the lyrics occurs after adding multiple album art.
Do you need an entire album, or will track 1 suffice?

I can confirm that this problem is also happening to MP3s.
And the MP3s weren't even encoded by me.
Still only affecting Track 1 of the lyrics after applying album art.

Hi dypsis,
I have tagged several mp3 and flac files with album art but have not seen this problem. Can you reproduce this reliably, ie any time you tag a track with album art the lyrics are truncated?

Yes. Every time. It only started happening on recent builds.

Well, of course, I assume you are referring to build 1256. I can't reproduce it here, though.
How do you save the art? To tag? Link as a file? Auto-tag from web? Adding it manually? Using a script?
The more details the better...

Yes. I am using Build 1256, but as stated in a previous post, the problem began in an earlier build.
Everything is saved to the tag.
MM truncates the lyrics in Track 1 after adding multiple album art to an entire album.
I have done testing, and the lyrics are fine immediately prior to adding and saving album art using MM.
After the lyrics are truncated, I simply go back and re-tag the Track 1 lyrics.

This problem is still occuring for me in 1256.

How do you reproduce?

I have no idea.

I cleaned up all my lyrics last week and to remind myself of when I did it (I'm getting a little forgetful in my youth), I renamed one of my backups to when the lyrics were completely clean. Yesterday while working on something else I found I had over 25 tracks with truncated lyrics. I'll try to take some notes to see if I can figure out what steps I am taking in order to try to reproduce.

I'm just surprised because when Gege first reported this I found that I also have several hundred tracks exhibiting this problem. Since then I have fixed all of the track lyrics using the lyricator script and not had a problem. I check to make sure the problem hasn't recurred periodically using a MagicNode. Since I do quite a lot of tagging, I'm surprised that I haven't seen the issue and that others have.

I too use the MN that Gege created to identify the tracks, unfortunately I do not check it that often so I am unsure when it re-occurred. I had fixed them before but I couldn't remember if it was during 1256 or before, that is why I changed the backup name, so that I can identify the last time it occurred.

It is caused when adding album art using MM.
I can now also confirm that it happens with MP3 files as well as FLAC.

Thanks for that clue, I will now pay attention when adding album art. As a side note, it may only be affecting so few tracks in my library because album art is usually the last thing I add when editing tracks.

For me, it only happens to Track 1 if I add album art to an album.
