Here tabs look bigger than Titlebar.
If they we're both fully skinable and hidable (like Titlebar) I would be satisfied.

Hm, looks to depend on which skin you're using. With Vitreous, I see what you're seeing, but with Pulse the tabs are about the same height as the height/width of the title bar.

The new Tabs are skinable ! but just with a background image,
but to create some Chrome tabs or to make something like in my second screenshot ,
It would need a option to set the text align and thats not possible at the moment,
the text is very close to the Left, and for the main window Tabs the close button is also not skinable or movable,
It would be good to have such options to be more flexible!

Check wiki ... tabs in main window and in Art & details can be _different_ than tabs in other places in MM.
From Wiki:

MainWindowTabs=TE_Object_Name - theme name for main window tabs - by default standard Tabs theme is used (introduced in MM4)
CoverWindowTabs=TE_Object_Name - theme name for cover window tabs - by default standard Tabs theme is used (introduced in MM4)
So you can easily make tabs in Art & details as you've shown in screenshots.

? Yes this i know ! and already use it in my skins,
but if i try to make some like in my second screenshot it looks like this:
because i have no option to set text align to 14 pix left !
do i miss something ?
btw:
Petr, any progress with the black line under the tabs?

I'm having the same problem.
I tried setting it exactly like in your skin in theme editor. But it's still like in your screenshot.
What am I missing?

Have you tried to set TextMarginLeft in TSeButtonObject ?

Yes. Still no luck.
Here are the properties of the TseButtonObject. Maybe that will show what I'm doing wrong.

I see. It isn't implemented in ThemeEngine (don't know why). Will be in 1415 (
8194).

Still no luck.
It has to be something in my skin that is not set properly.
I will ask DreadM for more info. I see that he managed to do it in Pulse skin and in MPlexx skin.
btw: Looks so much better without the black line in the art detail tabs ( build 1415 )
I also noticed that the line appearing on the main tabs after switching skins is fixed too.

I can't believe this hasn't been made optional and MM4 is around the corner.

Is this supposed to be the issue number?
In Mantis it says it's about another thing.
