pablopablo wrote:No, it's not d_iPhone.dll, d_iPod.dll (MM plug in folder) nor iPhoneCalc.dll (in MM folder) - removed them and got the same crashes.
the process monitor (sysinternals) shows that:

MM does createfile operation on:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\ZumoDrive\drive

then MM does closefile operation on :C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.2600.6028_x-ww_61e65202
Theres a known incompatibility between MM and ZumoDrive. see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ticleid=33

Aha! I don't have zumocast but do have zumodrive. It wasn't running, MM was trying to access the drive assigned to zumodrive, and crashing after about 5 min of unsuccessful attempts. I started zumodrive program, restarted MM and it seems to be running fine now. It shouldn't be a hard fix to implement: stop MM from discovering zumodrive after so many attempts, right?. don't i deserve MM gold key for troubleshooting this bug?

:( but my solution is so simple and the bug is with zumodrive not zumocast! anyways, it would also help if the log would show calls for unavailable drives. it looks like MM does QueryInformationVolume on every drive every minute or so - is it really necessary? is there an option to disable it?

another suggestion: update bug reporting instructions with a pointer to Process Explorer from sysinternals - that's what got me on the right track.

@PabloPablo
Does ZumoDrive Show as Drive letter on Windows Explorer? If Yes Have you tried to Set MM to Ignore that drive?
