Download&install MM4 Beta. Select the music in the iPhone in the left panel. hit ^R. Move/copy all the songs to your hard drive. Add the files to iTunes. Resync using iTunes. You may need to play around a little with the iTunes configuration because (if you're like me) you've changed the iTunes config to no longer sync music to iDevices to avoid iTunes removing all the music on the iDevice because it was added by MM.

Thank you I'll give that a try

Has anyone successfully synced with MM4 and an iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iTunes 10.5 (not IOS5--that for sure won't work)? The devices we're testing aren't recognized, but that may be related to the fact that they've been jailbroken.

I have copied music to hard drive from iphone and tried importing folder from itunes.
However none of the files are shown in this folder when I open it.
Are they not the right file types? I don't understand why itunes will not allow import.

I installed MM4 to try if it works with my iPhone 3GS, IOS5 (no jailbrake).
It sees the phone and the playlists on it.
But I have bigger problems now as MM4 doesn't play any song anymore. Lists every song in a playlist in gray when I try to play it and moves to the next track.
Probably shouldn't have upgraded :)

update:
Well I fixed the audio problem (change the outplug-in).
I can see the music that's on my phone, but I can't put any new music on it. Nor does it show any playlists (was wrong about that earlier).
(that's a 3GS, not jailbroken).

Uh, ok. So what about the 'iTunes 10.5' part of the subject?

Specifically with regard to Non-iOS iPods?

Can anyone confirm Non-iOS iPods seem to work fine with both MediaMonkey 3 and 4 *and* iTunes 10.5?

Non-iOS iPods don't rely on iTunes/Quicktime components in order for sync (they are simply treated as external drives), so they should all be fine.

Thanks, appreciate it.

I'm a new MM user planning my first iPod classic purchase.

Also see the latest update on the 'iTunes 10.5 and IOS 5 Status' page clarifies this.

Mati24,

Thanks. That's expected at this point in time since IOS5 is not yet supported.

Can anyone else share their experiences with iPhone 3/4 devices that aren't upgraded to IOS5?

With 3.2.6.1307 the iPhone4 iO4.* wasn't available in MM with iTunes 10.5.

Re: iTunes 10.5 - what about MM3?

I know MM4 has been said to support syncing with iTunes 10.5/iOS5 (I haven't yet tried it), but has anyone said whether they are also working on updating MM3 to work with it? Because I've got the beta of MM4 and so far I'm not sure I like what I see - but more importantly, I doubt any of my add-ons (like Backup, Lyricator, Minilyrics embedder) are going to be compatible with MM4 for a very long time.

Same here. I want to use MM3 (Gold) for a timeframe in the future as well, because of all the MM3-Plugins and itll they work in MM4.

So I hope/request for a bugfix, so that MM§ works with iOS5 and iTunes 10.5 again.
