Just want to let people know, a new version of Minilyrics is out, it may help solve tagging and other problems that people are having:
MiniLyrics 5.4.3016
Improved: Support Vista, solved several compatibility problems.
Improved: Compatible with winamp advanced title formatting.
Improved: Rate lyrics function is more easy-to-use.
Improved: Auto search will be canceled if the title name is 'track', 'music', 'cd'.
Improved: Support saving new created lyrics as the file name of the current song file.
Improved: Support uploading more than one lyrics a time.
Improved: Auto save embedded lyrics after the song file is stopped.
Fixed: A random crash.

Auto save embedded lyrics after the song file is stopped.

Just another proof that the developer seriously listens to its users.

Advice for users with large collections: With the Script SongPreviewer (
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... gpreviewer)
and the new version of minilyrics is it possible to tag the mp3 easaly without any effort. I started at the beginning of my collection and played each song for 7 seconds, then I had to do the same again to have tagged the lyrics into the mp3. I tried this for the first ten albums and it worked. But anyway, it needs a lot of time to tag collection with 20'000 titles and more....
People who don't have the gold Version have to reload, proof their collection (sorry, I don't know the english word for this but i hope you understand what I mean) to see the result.
I hope my advice helps other people to tag their collections with lyrics. Greetz

Does MiniLyrics crash when the embedder script is disabled?
- if yes, contact MM or Crintsoft
- if no, please send me a debug log (following MM's debug report instructions).
when i uninstall the embedder minilyrics doesn't crash.
I have emailed the debug log to
support@mediamonkey.com, I can post it here if needed but its fairly long

@Diabolic-Destiny: please send the debug log to my email address (see profile). I need the debug output from the embedder app.

1. You seem to be using an older version of the embedder program. The debug log doesn't contain any MMEMBEDDER log entries. Make sure that you're using the latest version of MiniLyrics Embedder (it should work fine, even if MM starts very slowly, e.g. because of a big NP list).
2. There are a lot of other problems in your debug log. I'd suggest you get those fixed too.
--> various Player skin errors
--> various CDPlayer.ini errors
--> a ScrobblerDJ icon error

I still cannot get any lyrics to save into the mp3 file. Do I have to have media monkey rescan all my media for the lyrics to show up in the mp3 tag? Please help - I would love this feature.
Running Win XP
MM Gold version 2.5.5.996
Minilyrics version 5.4.3016
Thanks for your help - love these programs!

1. Make sure file monitor is on for the folder in which the mp3's are saved
2. Make sure you have selected correct tags to save into

@Diabolic-Destiny:
What skin were you using when you made the debug log?
Do you have a
C:\Windows\CDPlayer.ini file, and is it readable/writable?
Is the ScrobblerDJ script working fine? Does it have it's icon displayed in MM? Maybe you should reinstall the script.
I don't think these errors are stopping MediaMonkey from doing its work, but errors are still errors, and can be some cause for instabilities.
This is what the debug viewer shows with a fresh copy of the installer 1.4 on my computer, when starting MM:

Done and done - still no luck. Very frustrating. When I am playing a song and I try to select download into mp3 file, it says that it cannot and it is being used by another process. Any ideas?

Do you have the most recent version? The new one waits until the song ends to save into the mp3 tag, this should fix that problem.

Does the lastest versions of minilyrics still have that pop up nag on start up?
I'm still using 4.6.2280 since that was a last version before I upgraded and started getting nagged every time.
