Thanks. I love this script, by the way!

I wanted to look at using the Google Image Search API, but this has been deprecated now. An alternative might be to try Google Custom Search API, but this is limited to "100 search queries per day for free" - so you'd all have to sign up for your own API key, which is far from ideal :(.

Hello, running Window 7 64bit. Error message I get is

Error #424 - Microsoft vbscript runtime error
Object required: 'queue'
File C/users/xx/app data/roaming/mediamonkey/scripts/auto/batch art finder.vbs/line 2635, column 12

I've tried the script on several other machines, 7 and xp and always get on other PCs
"the MSInet component could not be found, please install before running this script"

The MSInet component is contained within the package and the script attempts to automatically register it. If this is not working, you could try to manually copying the "msinet.ocx" somewhere sensible (maybe try %windir%) and then pass that location into "regsvr32" to register it.

I've uninstalled IE a long time ago. The images still load but the script that allows me to cycle through images doesn't.
Any way to fix it without reinstalling IE, even if it's for a good purpose?

Have you seen and tried the common solution? See http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 30#p342014

If you have a Windows machine then it's impossible to totally uninstall IE, so I wouldn't have thought this was the problem. If you are getting the images displayed, then it's IE that's doing it.

What would cause this script to resemble a virus? I know Avira returns lots of false positives, it is a very thorough scanner. https://www.virustotal.com/file/6fc9da4 ... 346432679/

Also has the google issue resolved itself? I dont use other programs, but doesn't iTunes or other programs automatically find album art and data?

Lots of things, probably the fact that it's accessing COM objects in order to download objects from the web, images in this case. And iTunes create their own database of images in order to tag tracks, unfortunately decent databases are rarely free to access.

Same problem for me, unfortunately... script runs and window appears with results, but hyperlinks do NOT have any effect other than to make the normally associated "click" sound (NOTE: I *am* able to check and save the first image that returns for each album). I can NOT "Try next image", "Edit album query", etc. I'm running clean Win7 Ultimate x86 with all recent updates. Internet Explorer v9.0.9. MM v4.0.6.1501 Gold. Batch Art Finder 4.2. Experimented with lowering ALL possible security settings in IE for all zones to enable all forms of dangerous scripting possible. ; -) Still no dice. Am desperate to get your utility working, as it's PERFECT for my needs... any help is greatly appreciated!!

What an amazing script! Props!

However, my biggest problem is that I have a ton of songs with unknown albums. i.e. I know the artist and Title.
How can I utilize this script? Is there a way that it can be configured so I can search for a picture of the artist and song.
Example:
John Lennon - Imagine
I don't know which album it is from, but if the script only searched for "John Lennon - Imagine" I am sure the right picture would come up.

IF this isn't possible, can you recommend a good script to find out the albums so I can sort of do it in two steps.

It would however be nice, cause in some cases it's cooler to have the "single cover" as "album art" instead of that single's album as album art.

I've been googling and searching this forum for an hour now, but just had to register to get your help!

Hope someone can give me some tips!

Thanks

There's a checkbox (can't remember the exact wording) for using the track title in the search if the album is blank, so that should sort this out for you.

Same problem too. I'm running Windows Xp and Internet Explorer 8. I have tried with two different PCs and get same result.
Please, any solution?
Thanks.

I have downgraded Batch Art Finder to version 4.0 and it works. I expect this will be useful for you.
