The manual says that it can read lyrics if it has lrc files. Is this the best option to get lrc files for her tracks? I don't know much about lrc files.
What is your OS?
I do not believe that Mini Lyrics can save .lrc to tag under Vista.
Unless, this has been fixed in current version of Mini Lyrics - I run an older version that will not save .lrc to tag... maybe that has been fixed, tho.

Yeah. I am running Vista.
Are there any other lrc tools to do this? It appears that lrc is becoming very common now. But I haven't seen many tools around.

Had a quick look at the Mini Lyrics website and I could not readily tell if newer versions will save to tag in Vista...
Maybe NoHitter will pipe in soon, he is the local un-official MiniLyrics expert.
Course you could always just try it.

Yeah, newest version of Minilyrics supports .lrc tagging to Vista, but you have to skip to the next song or stop its playback before the song can be tagged.

Yeah. I just found that out.
But I couldn't get it to sync with the lyrics properly. It would read the wrong lines. And in some display options, it wouldn't work at all.

What do you mean, when you manually synced your own lyrics?

No. Do I need to do this? If so, then how? Seems like an arduous task. :-?

I am only new to MiniLyrics.

Is this not possibly because the .lrc was not created either properly or was created for a version of the song that is different then the one that you own?

You have to recognize that the .lrcs' that you are downloading are uploaded by users and are not 100% of the time going to match up with the file that you have on your machine.
Sometimes this is because the uploader is uploading a .lrc for a rarity or a re-mix and sometimes it is just an .lrc that should not have been uploaded in the first place..
This is why I have never recommended that you enable automatic download of .lrcs.
There are simply to many variables involved. Often there will be several versions of the same song available to download and it takes several tries to get one that synchs.
The exception being, if you are DLing an .lrc for Ben Folds created by Nohitter, you are pretty much guarantied that it will be spot on.

But, bottom line is that the .lrc that you download through Mini Lyrics is user uploaded... so, it is up to you to determine if it works.
Also, you can create your own .lrc... think that if you click somewhere in NoHitters sig, that there is a fairly comprehensive how to.

@Nohitter, Welcome back...
Let us know next time that you decide to take a three day holiday!!!

Will do  . Good explanation of Minilyrics btw, and thanks for the compliment :D

Also, I had to remove the guide to syncing your own lyrics (which is useful when the lyrics aren't available from the Minilyrics server or you aren't satisfied with the choices available) from my sig because I've run out of space, but the guide is still available here.

Ok. Its working for me tonight, so it's not that the server is down. I'm not sure I can really help you with Minilyrics connection problems though... perhaps try contacting the ML developers.

I sent them an email earlier this evening. I don't think it is even get out past my router, as i don't see any lights flashing. I did open port 1212 on the windows firewall. Are any other changes required?
