i have not tried the new rc 2 yet.
the last version i have installed is beta version 1081 but it did not support the locked size players yet.

so all the locked player size skins dont work or need a work around to work. unless the new Release canidate versions support them.

but i have not got a chance to check that yet.
when they do get supported there will be others made.
besides the 3 i did already.

The Aqua fixed-sized player obviously has been working for a while.

I don't know what you are telling us..... (If it is that you have not tested RC2: OK )

You are probably right that more skins will be made

they are supported now in mm 3 rc versions?? is that what you are saying. cause i don't have them installed yet.

if you have got the rc 2 installed try one of the 3 skins i did that are fixed and tell me if it works proper on your system.

just got home and have to fix the computers here again.

i go away for a month and fix someother computers and left these fine and working good. when i get back i got to fix them again some one here seems to be hard on them.


my computer jukebox is down so i have no music got to find out what happened to that now.?

i need a paying job to take a vacation from these.

RovingCowboy/Monkey HiFi, here is your EstheticHiFi player in Morten's WMP11 skin.

After changing skin I have to restart MM3, but then it works as it should. The track info popup is also working. (Apparently MM3 has supported fixed players (at least the Aqua ) since the Beta days)



If I use your whole skin, the popup track info comes up without AlbumArt. (Same as the Aqua skin)

The Esthetic player looks nice, but it is a little too wide on my 1024x768 screen. Probably OK on a screen with better resolution.

Your other skins are too extreme for me. I'll go back to the black version of the Aqua player Or may be the Glided microplayer

off oand i don't think i added any album art to the popup.?
that popup is part of the theme part of the player and the theme part of the esthetic hi fi skin is the mm 2.5 blue monkey theme.mskn.
if you edit the 2.5 themes in the mm 3 skin editor it mess'es them up and crashes the mm 3 when you try and use the skin.

that is what i ment by the skin being a combo skin.

the players were made with the mm 3 skin editor.
the theme from mm 2.5 was chosen to use the full view list background images. because the mm 3 images are done differently. as explained on the tip page at the wiki.

the size of the player is made larger because people were yelling for the larger player that looked like the mm 2.5 player.

this skin is the best of both mm versions in that mannor.
a larger player and background images that are images not just
smeared colors or stretched small images.
with the player moveablity of the mm 3 skins.

thanks for letting me know it works. i'll check and see if it will work in mine sometime this week. but the error was due to the mm 3 codes this skin did not have all those and did work fairly well most the time here too, only sometimes it did get cut in half like i said in the PM to you.

I was wondering if there was any way to put a player in the toolbar section. You know, next to the menu's and search field and everything. I have a big ass wide screen monitor with lot's of room up there. It would be really cool if it displayed "time completed/total time." Is there a way to do this?

not that i know of but this should be in the wishlist forum maybe you are not the only one that wants it.

they might be able to make the micro player also go on the top tool bar besides going on the task bar.

nohitter, would it be possible to convert the original simple blue skin (this one: http://www.softwarepaper.com/images2/mediamonkey2.gif) to a Media Monkey 3 skin? I think the newer skins look really cool, but I kind of prefer the old blue one.

i'll answer for him since i just converted a mm 2 skin to mm 3.

the answer is no not in using peke's templete and expecting it to do the work for you. in using that templete you need to also know how to skin mm 3 so you know what is missing and how to put it in.

also the blue monkey was the default skin and i think the people that made the blue monkey will have to convert it.
give them a shout at and see if they will.
