Bug: having the mouse over the ratings area on a player
makes the program go berserk. you have to look at the border
to the right of the player to see it. but you will see flashing of colors.
if you use a player that is made to be fixed size the whole
player goes berserk when that mouse is just hovered over the
ratings area..
take a player that is not fixed in size make it small as you can and put it on the left.
put the now playing list to the right docking window besides the player make the now playing large enough
to fill in the dock area,
place the mouse over the ratings area
again and watch the right side of the player go berserk.
does all that with any skin.
winxp sp2 home pent 4 CPU
this above error is caused by the drawing of the images on the screen. it is flickering when drawing the rating images. which it continoiusly does while you hover over the ratings area.
if you just run the mouse over the area it only draws the images once, then stops but it flickers while it draws them that one time.

Just a note... MM3A4 seems to do much better when making a tag change to a song that's currently playing, regarding any pop or interruption to the song. Nice work!
Dual Monitor Configuration

Bug (or missing feature): MM does not remember window position for dual monitor configurations. It is convenient to use a second monitor to look at properties or tag lookup but every time these options are selected, the corresponding windows must be moved into position.
I am using Windows Vista Ultimate.

BUG: auto dj on/off button on bottom right doesn't have a 'tool tip'
also, it'd be good if you could drag and drop images onto albums in 'browse' mode rather than having to right-click and add image/edit properties

@Max
Please state your exact Multi Display configuration.
I have it in this order [1][2][3] = [Main Monitor][Second Montor][TV] and all worked as it should be. A, last thing XP SP2 Pro and ATi x1950 pro as GPU.

My configuration is similar, [Main Monitor][Second Monitor], but I am using an nVidia GeForce 8800 as the GPU. However, the major difference is Vista Ultimate which may account for my problems. In any case, MM remembers window positions on my main monitor but not the second monitor.
Multiple Monitor Functionality

Peke...wasn't aware MM3 had multi monitor support..is it supposed to?...That would be great!
Only the primary monitor seems to be remembered here....
I use three seperate ATI adapters just left in config windows XP sp2 set-up.. [1][2][4]
MM3 seems to respond silightly different than MM2- in that MM3 windows not on the primary monitor are re-opened in the exact position on the primary monitor as they were on the secondary monitors....In MM2 they were always reopened on the closest "edge" of the primary monitor...

Update Button Bug:
after some rebooting and restarting of mm 3 i have found
that the custom skins that are the same size as the defalut player, now use all the buttons including the stop and open buttons.
how ever the one exception i have is the one i made that i called monkey hi fi it is the only default size player that does
not use all the buttons.?
the other skins of custom size and or fixed size do not use or show all the buttons. on either player and their microplayers some times take more clicks then normal to resize.
it is the same buttons as before not showing and or working.
but this time i got it to give me an bug report which i sent
to peter i hope it went through as the server was messed up all day and i could not get on the forum. so if your a developer reading this please check for the bug report i had to email to peter the built in server would not connect.
but it seems there might be a memory leak causing the whole deal since it said i ran out of resouces on this xp? and kept on playing music, and let me change skins which shows me i did not run out of resouces. and with a 2000 mb page file i doubt i did.
but the bug report should show what is really going on now that i finally got one.

OK, Yes there was several changes to Multi monitor Handling and we plan to improve it more.
I want to thank you all for testing this.
Till now I only speculated and thought how it should work

Both nVidia and ATi have its own solutions for multi monitor enviroment
nVidia uses nView and ATi uses HydraVision.
Please test as much as possible.
Multi Monitor Support

Peke....I DO NOT use ATI Hydravision...it only causes problems...from experience with other programs and the developers... the best bet seems to be focusing simply on windows basic multi-monitor support and functionality.
The n-Vidia and ATI softwares you mentioned seem to be more for manipulating "desktops" and "desktop" management(read: added bells and whistles for laptop users) rather than the actual multiple monitor environment...although they do seem to add a few bells and whistles to existing windiows multiple monitor capability, it's not really stuff that would be widely used or USEFUL(display set-ups for presentations/installations etc.)....
I have used many softwares that are very graphically "window" intense on multiple monitors- the "add-on" softwares like Hydravision ultimately only cause problems...sticking with the basic windows features and set-up has worked best for my daily all around use. Trying to consider what n-vidia and ATI are doing, imo, would only complicate things.
Again...I simply use three monitors, with three seperate cards, side by side...I simply let windows XP set them up for me. No issues with all modern software and 90% of older software works fine. I know its never as simple as it seems to us...
Do you have any specific questions on use?

I agree with CMX, both Nview and Hydrovision are more trouble than helpful and I've used both.
I stick with the basic multimonitor functionality in windows... ie using the windows display control panel to manage multi-mon, not nview/hydrovision.
Alpha 4 remembers the correct monitor on my nvidia system, I have not noticed on the ati system (laptop) because the screens are reversed from my home system. I'll check it out next time and see if works on the ati.

One thing is sure we all agree in one thing both ATi an nVidia solutions makes more trouble than they work. Actually they fool Windows Multi monitor feature and that means problems
Keep posting test, I'm noting everyone and test on my Multi monitor setting.
Test with un-docked windows where one is on one display and others on different, ...

I'm not exactly sure how the "Unorganized Tracks" node under "Files To Edit" is spose to act, but I've noticed that if I click on it, if gives me emptyness, but as soon as a new track plays in the playlist, or if I select a new song to play from the playlist, the song that just started is added to this node, each song that plays while still on this node gets added. You click away from the node & go back, it's empty again.
*Shrugs* Don't know if it's strange, or, intended.
