Try running the following two commands (though I suspect you only really need the first one):

Code: Select all

regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
You will need administrator rights to execute the commands though, so just type in "cmd" in the start menu search, and right-click the "command line" shortcut and choose "run as administrator.."

This script is perfect for what I want to do but there is one minor cosmetic problem .... when I go to 'View' in the top menu this is listed twice. Anyone know why this is?

Probably because you have two different .vbs files in your "Scripts" folder...
Did you check this?

I'd forgotten all about this ..... lol .....

I checked and no I don't but I also don't have the problem anymore either so who knows?

As long as it's working, it's all good. :D

Using MM 3, lyricsviewer gives me a standard google search page insteads of lyrics as soon as i enable "Websearchpanels" script
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... sc&start=0

There seems to be a conflict , any ideas ?

Thanks ,Lin

I've always used these scripts together and I've never had any conflict between them.

- Are you sure your lyrics are stored in the tags already?
- Could you please post the contents of your WebSearch.xml file as well as a screenshot of MM3 showing this "standard Google search page"?

OK, I can see what is showing in this picture is not Lyrics Viewer, it's a WebSearch panel with the name "Lyrics".
Looking in your websearch.xml file, we can confirm this: your first panel IS named "Lyrics". Maybe this is your problem. Please, edit your websearch.xml file, rename that panel and test it.

I'd love to get a darker grey skin for this to match the skin just released called "royal negative gold"
would it be simple to engineer it myself
I poked around in the folder and saw that .css files were attached to each skin
I don't know how to write these files
:(

aidan_cage,
I would do it for, if I could, but unfortunately I'm very busy at the moment.

If you want to learn a little about CCS, you can start here.
I think it's worth it!

The CSS is a text file, so open it in Notepad and take a look. I've put a lot of commenting there, so I think you'll end figuring out how to hack it.

Please, keep in touch to tell us if you're getting some progress on this..

Is this script showing the lyrics synchronized (Karaoke) like Minilyrics, or just in plain text format?

Just plain text lyrics.
