Improvements!

I dont know what is wrong with this script but somehow it is not working fine. I dont mean any errors... but the way it is programmed or the way it does its job.
I extended my library with all my CDs, so my library is huge! and diverse! But every time I get the same song in my playlist. Eventhough when I have many many other alternatives! From 200 available songs (50% similar) he always picks the same song.
With this error I constantly have to delete that song (I dont want to hear it everytime!). Then I have two problems to face:
1. There isnt a way to auto add a new song.
2. When manually adding a song in the same genre I always get the song which I deleted back as recommendation. Like the same problem as mentioned above.
PS: I have similar at 50% now in the settings and same artist now at 15 minutes, but it looks like thats not making a difference.
So... it would be great if the script could be more diverse with song selection. Like you feel that the scripts picks songs out of the library you didnt know you had instead of playing the same over and over again.
Is there a way to add a new button to the toolbar which activates the script and adds a song at the end of the playlist based on the song now playing?
This would be great if you want to delete the first recommended song.

I've never had the same song picked multiple times like this. Have you go your settings set too restrictively maybe?
Awesome Script

This is a great script. It gives me a whole new way to listen to my music. This is definitely going to be my default listening mode from now on. Just pick a track, and let scrobblerdj do the rest!
One thing I noticed. There is one particular artist that when a track is played scrobblerdj reports that the artist cannot be found at lastfm, and defaults to playing a random track. However, when I go to the lastfm website and type in the name of this artist, it gives me similar artists no problem. This is kind of a bummer since this is one of my favorite artists. I know this is probably not something wrong with the script, but I was just hoping someone could shed some light.
Another oddity

Another thing. Isn't the script supposed to load the "top tracks" from the similar artist found, as long as they are in your library? It doesn't seem to be doing that. For example, after a coldplay song, it locates green day as a similar artist. I'll buy that. But the track it selects is "All by Myself", definitely not a "top track" by green day. All of the top tracks by green day listed at the lastfm website are in my library, so why doesn't it load those?
I'm just trying to find out if this is normal behavior or if there is a problem. I'm not complaining. This is an great script.

I once looked at the source and i believe when an artist is chosen it does not necessarily pick a Top song, it picks any song returned (i forgot how many last returns) but if let's say it is 30 and "all by myself" is #28 then it can be picked by the script.
OK

OK. Another thing I found. It often returns Nirvana as a similar artist found. However, it will say, "Artist found, but cannot find most popular tracks. A track from this artist in your library has been loaded." Something like that. The thing is, it loads "Pennyroyal Tea" every single time. I have many of the top tracks in my library, so why does it pick that same one everytime?
This script is way fun though

Very easy instruction:
1. Install the script (you have already done that).
2. Goto Tools->Options->Player->ScrobblerDJ Settings and select "Enable ScrobblerDJ"
3. When you now start to play the last song in the now playing list. A new song is added by the script.
Does it work for you?

When the last track in your "now playing" window starts to play, the script should contact lastfm and select another track from your library to play. It's not doing that?
Try This

In MediaMonkey, go to tools -> options. Find ScrobblerDJ and enable it by checking the box that says "enableScrobblerDJ"

Wow. I actually got this to work (after several error messages, which seemed to resolve themselves on their own?). Pretty neat. I've got about 1500 artists and 7500 tracks in my library, so I'm looking forward to hearing tracks I haven't heard in a while. Thanks.

@Lady_Gerbil
not on their own as most of those errors came up as no default info is found and as soon as you clicked OK default is created so on next start is found
