To completely disable the ActiveX warnings:

1) Run regedit.exe (WinKey+R)
2) Goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0
3) Modify key 1201 = 0

• If key 1201 doesn't exist, create it:
  Right-click the right pane -> New DWORD (32-bit) Value -> name it 1201.

4) Close and restart MediaMonkey.

Fingers crossed I will be releasing the new version tonight, which amongst other things has some serious performance improvements. I'm still waiting on a couple of translations, but I'm planning to release it without them if I don't get them by tonight.

A note for skinners; as part of the performance improvements I have defined "SDB" and "cursong" globally, so if you use your own "SkinFunctions.vbs" file then you will need to remove any declarations of these variables, and anywhere where you set them to "Nothing". Also for the new Last.Fm loved tracks functionality you should make sure you have a "love.gif" and "norm.gif" image, which you can copy from the "classic" skin if you want, but can redefine these using the global variables "constLove" and "constNorm" as with the other images.

Hopefully in this release you should notice some serious performance improvements! Currently the German and Japanese translations are out of date, but I'll update the package when I have these.

nice update! it really is faster (no speedy smiley... )
but i have a couple of questions: now i get at some tracks a red "X" for similiar tracks and the track video option seems to does not work at all. in this tab it just says "more information" and the link goes right to the video...
and how come that the lastfm loved tracks functionality is greyed out?

Can you post a screenshot of the red X problem? I don't know why the video option is not working for you - do you have flash installed and working?

The option for enabling the Last.FM loved tracks functionality is on the "More (1)" options sheet, at the bottom. You need to make sure that your Last.Fm username and password are populated, by installing the Last.Fm scrobbler script, for this to be enabled. You also need to have the MD5 component installed for it to be enabled, which should happen automatically, but might fail so you could try doing this manually. The functionality itself should appear as a heart near the play controls, but this will depend on the skin that you are using.

Aah I missed it down there and it is greyed out for me also, I do have the Last.FM plugin installed and it is scrobbling. Any other suggestions??

alrighty. i made a little screenshot. it shows both of my problems though.
and yes, flash is working and should be up to date. so i don't know what could be the problem.

@nynaevelan - have you tried manually registering the MD5 component?

@heartofhate - I can't replicate either of these problems - can you give me an example of a track that does this or is it all of them for you?

How do I do that?

at first i thought it would be only a few tracks but it is not working at all.
i reinstalled monkeyrok (deinstall --> new install) but it does not work also. maybe i need to go backwards to 5.4 for the moment.

@heartofhate, maybe it's the skin. Try with a different one, ex.: Classic, or one of my skins.

@Trixmoto, Thank you for the upgrade. It's really speedy now.

- In previous versions I was able to see [Similar Artists] and [Other Albums By] with data from LastFM, and I don't have any LastFM account. Now this info is not available, but I can still see Biography and Videos. Does it mean that I need an account and a scrobbler connection?

- The Automatic skin is working now, perfect. But Right-click to select a skin displays only 2 or 3 last skins of the whole list. Like the popup menu appear from the bottom instead of the top.

Where, how?
Edit: OK I see it's either Skin popup or Select popup. Must disable in options first.

I like the third option sheet to allow additional options,looks more clear

for me it looks like the top from popup menu is cut of from MR window

It's showing on the info header ,
but you must disable, "option to show context menu items to change skin"
