Is it okay that the play-button is so "big"?

Hi Morten,

I dummied up a pic for you on what I said about the next a prev buttons.
I think it keeps quite well with the Aero style but not sure how it works with the rest of the details on the skin.

Image

maybe it's no good or maybe it would look better it the other buttons were done in a similar way (excvept the play button of course).

Also, in regard to Gege's:
3 - I know it's intentional, but I'd really like if Previous, Play/Pause and Next were vertically aligned.
I don't actually think that would be better.. I think at the moment the raise next and prev button compliments the lowered stop button...
But I don't think it will be a big difference either way so maybe that's the go.

I see what you mean now. The problem is that I think that they maybe become too subtle? I'm not sure though, so I will something like this to see if it's better than the current one.
Best regards,
Morten

@RC: I recommend you get glasses... Maybe then you will be able to see the SHIFT button! :P

@Dale: I think the blurred look is a bit... well... blurred. I would prefer the normal one, but even more I would prefer the original buttons, and even more then that I would prefer my button idea. *sigh*

the shift button is on the keyboard.

the only buttons in that screen shot are the play pause and the three close buttons of max... min... and exit. on the top title bar.

Sorry, cowboy, but I think you do need those glasses: you missed the Stop button.

And Mute, and volume, and seekbar, and now playing, and mixer, and continous, and random.

Btw; I'm skinning the rest of the interface now. Please let me know if you want to see a preview screen, though I'm not designing it after MediaMonkey's current functions, I'm designing it as I want it. I think most of these functions will see it's daylight before MM3 final, so I'm realistic in my approach.
Best regards,
Morten

You're the only one that can't see the buttons! Are you looking at the same image as the rest of us? What's with the "monkey hi fi" by the way, why not just use "rovingcowboy"?

@RC: How old is your monitor? Sometimes old monitors can have problems with the contrast which would stop you seeing those things...

no blake it is not the contast i have this set up as high and bright as it can go.. there is nothing showing there except the same color as the background. i sent an image / screen shot of the above message to morten to show him there is noithing
on my screen,

but he said there is so he has something in the skin that is not showing on my screen. or he is using the buttons as the same color of the background to make them invisable?

i can see the 3 buttons on the title bar.
i can see the word ' glided ' in the middle
the gray behind the seekbar the seek bar thumb image
barely see the small time clock on the left
the big play pause button
the infromation area and the different shades of gray in there,
the black fonts on the lower half with the dark gray are almost
not visable. and i can see the upper half of the album art where the sky is in the photo.

thats it nothing else is on the screen shots.
:-?
