Also does that send you a link to the site or just do it all within the program? Cause the other thing that would be nice is to not have to go through the download process on the site (at least if you are a gold for life member).
Link to the site.

No real beefs with MM. Gold user for a year or two. Much prefer MM tag editor and tag handling. I just finished reacquainting myself with the cf that is iTunes. Now back to the monkey. The reason I tried to do iTunes again was to get the gorram album art to show up on my Pioneer AVIC. Seems the monkey album art plays fine on the iPod, but won't sync to the Pioneer. I realize there just ain't no way to do it, but that's what a wish list is, right? So if it isn't too much trouble, some fine winter snowed in day, mayhaps the fine monkey masters could figure that one out. Mean times I'll be staring at the generic music note whilst I shuffle through 18k songs.

Love mediamonkey. I would like to see it remain music only.

option for TWO folder trees for drag and drop organization
Not every song and album is properly tagged, so auto organize is not the quickest way to move alot of music around. To me, the most logical and useful enhancement to managing these files would be to offer a second folder tree that can be used with the first to drag and drop files and folders about.

Try opening up the folder view, and moving one folder of music to somewhere nearby. Its easy. Its literally dragging and dropping, which takes a split second. However when the folder is distant, you must drag to the edge to cause scrolling. This is where the second folder tree comes into play.

archive playback and tagging
Like CBZ and CBR, containing all files in one uncompressed archive has its appeal. It simply keeps things clean and neat outside (and likely inside) of MediaMonkey. It would allow us to play music immediately, and not force many of us to go through the process of manual file extraction before playback. If a CBZ comic only had 20 pages, I wouldn't prefer to have them all dumped to a folder -- the same goes with a music album of 16 songs and 3 pictures and 1 text file. One archive, even if that archive is larger than the unarchived folder total, is cleaner and to me, more logical.

waveform in the progress bar
I would love for the songs waveform to render when playback begins. This same waveform could be the progress bar.

tags in the song
Why not tags along the progress of the song? Some songs are a 3 star song, but contain 5 star parts. How about a subsystem of star ratings in each song. How about comments pertaining to timecode in the song?

I like this idea- it would be very helpful for rips of CDs that use indexes rather than different tracks (Frank Zappa's Lumpy Gravy and Manuel Gottsching's E2-E4 to mind). Also it would be useful for classical works that have multiple movements per track.

I use MediaMonkey everyday of the week for Music Playback at work , I would Like to see the ability to Create a AutoPlaylist that would never replay the same song ,
I have set up many Playlists many different ways and it will always Play a song repeatedly when Shuffle is on . Turn it off and then MM will play same artists repeately Instead of Shuffling the songs . Also would Like the ability to reset Play counters .

Just add a criteria to your autoplaylist: [last played is not the past 1 day]. That way songs will never get repeated on a given day.

I would love a genere catagorizer and auto-tagger that can be applied to large collections.

It would be nice to have a set of Organisation options for each type of content.
For now they are constructed with music "only" in mind, so there' only one disk folder that can be the target of Auto-Organisation rules.

I would like to have Auto-Organisation rules sets that are different between music, videos/Series, videos/Films, Photos, etc.

You already can. Under Tools > Options > Auto-Organize you can set what Collection has what Auto-Organize rule and you can create custom collections to really fine tune what is organized how.

Under Tools > Auto-Organize Files you can either have multiple rules and switch between them as needed or use one complex rule with $if statements that would organize different content differently.

I'd like an option to have playlists in their own panel. I depend on them a lot for organization and playback, so having them have their window separate from the media library would be useful.

You can already do this (sort of) in MM4 using tabs.

Spectrograph for manual quality testing (or a substitute). It's all explained here (read the first and the third post).
