I still can't seem to get my ringtones to stick with the latest dll. I tried alll the recommended steps throughout this thread, but my ringtones still disappear.

3GS 3.0.1
iTunes 8.2.1.6

Just sync'd 3300 tracks to my iTouch Gen 2 OS3.0 with no problems at all using the latest d_iPhone.dll.
I cleared the device from within MM before syncing new tracks. All art etc copied over ok also.

Great to have MM back with my iTouch.

Thanks

I have uploaded a new version of the plug-in, it adds support for Lyrics on 3.0 firmware.

By the way, should the playcount in Mediamonkey increase when i play music on my iPod Touch? It didn't work for me with FW 2.1.1 neither so i just wondered if its a general problem..

Thanks for you effort jiri

Hi Jiri

just syncronized 1'200 tracks to my iPhone OS3.0 (Jailbreaked) with no problems at all using the latest d_iPhone.dll (Aug-16)
I cleared the device with iTunes 1st before syncing the tracks with MM.

Thank you very much!

Jiri - thanks a lot for all your hard work on this; I just wanted to let you know that I'm in the probably small camp of people for whom the display of embedded lyrics is a major feature.

I believe it should only increase upon playback of the track within MM, not the iPod itself.

And oh yeah, thanks a lot for the hard work Jiri! This is a big part of the reason I continue to support and recommend MM to others.

Everyone seems very positive about this so I'm sorry to put a damper on things ....

I want to put music, video and applications onto my iPhone. In the past I've come a cropper on this as iTunes and MM conflict (generally you use one or the other).

Is this still the case? Or is there a combination of settings that allows these two applications to co-exist?

Mark

This is awesome - but I've got an issue that I'd love to get past...

Pretty sure I have the latest .dll.

I've deleted all music files using iTunes.
I then loaded MM and it saw the device
I then added tracks with MM
I then connected to iTunes again - (syncing or not syncing music)

After disconnecting from iTunes, the iPhone shows no media files, but MM still shows the files but they can not be accessed or played, just deleted.

Not sure if they are actually there or just showing as a ghosted list.

Running the latest iTunes and iPhone 3GS 3.0.1

Thoughts?

Or am I screwing up?

markstuart,

2g 3.0.1
3g 3.0.1
(Haven't synced the 3gs with MM yet)
MM 1256

You must use itunes for SW updates, activation, itunes store setup etc....

I use both iTunes and MM to sync.

MM and itunes cannot both sync with music...it's either one or the other.

I use MM to sync music.

I use itunes to sync "Info", "Apps" and "Pictures" and other iphone maintenance and updates.

There are few problems as long as itunes is set to "manually sync music and video" ...even if the music items are deselected you must still have it set to manual sync "music and video"

I have not experimented with video.

MM and itunes cannot both sync with music...it's either one or the other.

Ringtones and music seem to share the same file structure on the iphone...so they are tied together as far as itunes sync is concerned.

It does not appear that Ringtones can be set with MM...BUT they can be loaded with iTunes BEFORE initial syncing of music with MM.

You cannot sync new ringtones after loading music and syncing with MM or the MM music will be "decommisioned" by iTunes. BUT old ringtones synced with itunes should stay on the iphone after syncing with MM...just be sure not to delete them with MM.

This has worked for me so far here.

jkirker,

Make sure itunes is set to "manual sync music and video"...

Clear the music files prior to MM sync with MM....you said you cleared the files with itunes, not sure I would trust that.

Everything is working pretty well here on a 3g iphone.

Thank You!

The "manually sync music and video" was the key!

You (insert positive foul language here) Rock!

Thanks again. I have been missing my MM... Thank you also Jiri!

Hmm... i thought this worked with my old iPod nano (2G) (i might be wrong - but then it would be a nice feature, but first enjoy your holiday jiri!). Of course it's not a must have - but nice when it is working - because Mediamonkey then can create new Autoplaylists upon the data which tracks you played on your iPod. For example update the "Favorites - Not heared recently"-list every time you synch, when you heard some songs of that list on you iPod - and also general for statistics.

The MediaMonkey is great :)

Great that its getting there, but have seen two bugs. One, the database seems to think every track has lyrics, and the second, and much more annoying, audiobooks seem to forget their position

Jiri,

Your hard work on getting this running so quickly is absolutely amazing. Thanks for the effort.

Iphone 3GS running 3.0.1 software

All of the album art issues I was having are now absolutely perfect. Art syncs, no half covers and all are associated with the correct album. Excellent work.

I too noticed that for just about every track, I get the "Loading lyrics" message. However none of my tracks have lyrics.

Second and slightly more interesting

If I have 3 artists all with an album called "Greatest Hits"

Artist 1 "greatest hits"
Artist 2 "greatest hits"
Artist 3 "greatest hits"

in the cover art view (coverflow I think is the technical name), the art shows up with the correct album, but when you touch the album to flip it over for a track listing, it lists every track from every artist's album called "greatest hits" This causes each artist to have quite a lengthy track listing but only in the coverflow view. They appear correct when browsing by album.

Strange bug but definitely there anyone else notice this?

Once again, great work Jiri.
