Messed up my DB. I tried to read my MM5.DB using SQLITE3 and now I get the following error:

I am Getting am Application Throw Exception Class Control Doesn't Exist!

I renamed the MM5 DB to OLD and restarted MM5 but still got this error. Can't even open in Safe Mode.

Is it the DB or the config file?

Please HELP!

Appears startup can't find the MMINIT.JS script.

I tried to paste a screenshot of the error but MM does not make it very intuitive.

Have you tried installing MediaMonkey again?

No not yet. Wanted to check with you all first. I will reinstall. Thanks.

Just reinstalled mm5 and received the same error. Can't even start up in safe mode. Thoughts?

Are you sure you're using a clean or pre-messing database?

No. Used my existing db. I will rename it to old and try again. Thanks.

Once I reinstall mm5 with a new db, do I locate missing tracks or do I have to start all over again by add/rescan ?

You have to rescan, but we're just trying to establish if the database has issues at this point due to manual editing.

Good News, I think.. I renamed the MM5.DB to MM5old.DB and reinstalled MM5. I received the same error so maybe my DB isn't corrupted. I can't find the MMINIT.JS file anywhere. Something about a CALLSTACK: Script file MMINIT.JS.

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey do you see this with?

Mm won't open for me but I think it is is MediaMonkey_2024.1.0.3113 aT LEAST THAT IS THE DOWNLOAD FILE NAME.

Can you please try with the latest MediaMonkey 2024.2 beta and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks lowlander. MM5 now opens with a blank db. Now should I copy my old saved db back into the main mm folder?
