New to MediaMonkey - syncing playlists

Yo! I'm trying to sync iTunes to Android and MediaMonkey made me think "outside the box" - in other words, ditch iTunes.

So here I am with MediaMonkey basic for Windows (MMW) and MediaMonkey basic for Android (MMA) , and they have both found all my MP3 tracks with their associated artworks. So far so good.

But I want to copy the playlists as well - there's 10. MMW has them nested Playlists > Imported Playlists > iTunes > Quo (as in the mighty Status Quo). I've tried syncing my device with a USB cable as it would take forever to send > 10,000 tracks across Wi-Fi (I'm on basic, so can't do that anyway). But they ain't on my device - anywhere - so what do I have to do?

Thanks

Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey are you using?

Make sure the Playlists are part of the Sync list selection before you Sync.

If the files have been Synced already you could try a wi-fi Sync as only changes should Sync.

It's been a labour of love, taking me a yesterday afternoon and this morning (after a trip to the dentist :x ) to figure it out, but figured it out I have. I have the playlists on my mobile device now. Whoever told me "it's not exactly rocket science" was lying!

I've also discovered that I don't eport a playlist - I Send to... I suppose calling the feature "Export" makes it less rocket science, and that would never do.

I'm using MM 2024 - there must be a newer version available, judging by some of the comments on these hallowed pages. I only downloaded MMW yesterday from the MM website. MMA I got from Google Play Store.

Many thanks.

2024.1 is the newest release, with 2024.2 being in beta. The next major release planned is 2026.
