No matter how many files I select only a couple are really processed, it stops after about 1-20 tracks, leveling all my tracks would be tough. Please let me know how to help you to reproduce/fix it.

thx

What Windows and MediaMonkey version are you using? What are the filetypes you have.

You could try to create a debug log and send it to support as described in the bug forum.

I have the latest MM version and mp3 recorded with StationRipper, XP if that matters. If a debug log might help, I could do that.

Seems if the outcome is less than -5 then it terminates so that seem to be a feature and not a bug, since the default baseline level is 89, wouldn't be -11 instead of -5 be better. Maybe I have more luck setting everything to 95.

With everything at 95 it terminates as well just too easily. Maybe nobody other than me is using this feature and thus nobody has the problem. Makes me wonder if this is not a worthwhile feature since nobody is using it.

I use it frequently and haven't had problems.

In any case most prefer the analyze level volume as this will leave the original audio untouched. It will only calculate the level the player volume needs to be changed for the song. I believe that's it's compatible with iPod's, but not with other software/hardware.

So I would advice to create the debug log.

atm I'm using the computer only so for now I stick to 'analyze level volume' to have a quick solution. Thanks for the help!

Stax,

I've tried reproducing this but can't. Can you generate a debug log and send it to support at mediamonkey dt com?

Thx.

Hello:
1. I'm having the same problem and also found that when the adjustement is lower than -1 (-2.5, -4.0 etc) is when the program stops. I have adjusted my volume level to 92Db (Default is 89Db) because I'm afraid a higher volume setting would create distortion in the file. When you say "With everything at 95 it terminates as well just too easily" do you mean it does the job or it doesn't.
2. Don't you dare to mention this feature is not worthy. To me is the main reason I bought MM, because CD's do come recorded at different volumes, and ripping is how you have the chance to normalize all of them.
3. System settings
P4 3Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 70 GB SATA drives (2), WinXP SP2, MM 2.5.3.968,
Files to be processed MP3,
Secuence:

Level track volume

Thanks a lot

1) I think that the problem still exists at the 95dB setting.

Hari, please create a debug log as described in the bug forum.

I've tried with DbgView but all of the sudden I can't reproduce it either, maybe because of the tracks I've tested were recorded from a different station. I'll try again as soon as I have new tracks and report back when it failes again, thx for the suppport.
