Rebuild Device Database adds iTunes game sounds

If you have iTunes games on your iPod and you rebuild the device database, all the sounds associated with the iTunes games (.wav files) are added to the ipod menus even though they are not in the MM library or normally in the iPod menus.
After this happens if you have your iPod set to shuffle it includes these (mostly very annoying) sounds in your mix.

Could you please send me your iTunesDB file before database rebuilt and also some info about where these wav files are stored? I'll check out what can be done about it...

My database is 23MEGS zipped.
My e-mail isn't liking it.
You should have it but if you don't let me know and I'll try again.

I just wiped the pod and re-synched and then re-built the database.
I noticed that rebuilding also renames/retags all my protected Audible content.
This isn't the hugest of deals but it would be nice if the rebuild could ignore these files.
Background: I use iTunes only to synch my iTunes store games and to manually transfer some protected audible content I was stupid enough to buy.
The Monkey ignores this content until I do a rebuild then it tags these files according to file name and adds them to the iPod and MM librarys.
After a MM rebuild, if I open iTunes the game sounds and the renamed audible content also shows up in the iTunes library.

The e-mail didn't get to me. Please try to upload only some files (+audible tracks and games) and send my iTunesDB then, it shouldn't be too big.

Can I suggest for sharing large files, the easiest thing to do is use a file sharing service such as rapidshare. See a list of these at:

I don't mind sending big files but I'm not sure you want them Jiri
My iTunes DB is 23 megs
zipped and audible files are at least 150megs.
Can I send screenshots or something??
Whatever works for you is fine by me.

It would be certainly better if you could reproduce the problem with smaller iTunesDB file (i.e. clean the iPod, upload necessary content (games, etc.) and send me the file). If it isn't possible, the current file would be acceptable as well.

I'm not sure what you need here.
Do you want an iTunes DB before and after rebuild?
Do you need anything from MM or the iPod?

The most useful file would be iTunesDB after synchronization from iTunes, i.e. before DB rebuild by MM. Of course, some more info would be useful too, e.g. the DB file after DB rebuild by MM.

Hi.
I've sent you a before and after iPod DB as well as a sample of the audio files from an iTunes game.
Thx.
