MM3 - m4a corrupted when updating tag

Testing mm3 I've found this bug:
I've moved my mp3s from a dvd backup to my laptop and converted to m4a 128 kbs with dbpoweramp (in order to save space). After installing mm3, everything is ok, all tags detected and so, but then, after changing any tag, rating or calculate level volume, the m4a gets corrupted and can't be played in any player (no mm, no windows media, no winamp), and even dbpoweramp can't convert it to wav.... seems like tagging corrupts the file....

pd: sorry if I mispelled any word or phrase, english isn't my first language.

mm3 alpha installed on a vaio vgn-fe28b, 1 GB ram, centrino duo 1,66 Ghz

offtopic, I know: But do you know that' you shouldn't convert lossy musicfiles like mp3 or aac? It will degrade the quality a lot.

Yes, I know, but for hearing with earphones from my laptop at work, m4a converted from my cds or from mp3s at 320 kbs, sound well enough, and didn't have enough space at my hard drive to keep all the mp3s....

Thx--replicated.

Note that this isn't a problem for iTunes encoded tracks.
