If I give a song a Genre and directly after that while the track is in the queue for being tagged start playing another song MediaMonkey Freezes.

I've reported that many times when debug version asked me to send an email.

The problem is tagging the playing song when it is at the end with the next song already in the buffer.

It works fine when the buffer is still full with the current song.

This was fixed in 3.0.2.1131.
