iTunes changes genre

Hi. I've recently replaced my Toshiba Gigabeat player with an ipod Classic. So far I love it. I am using Media Monkey to organize my music and iTunes to synch my music. So far, everything works fine for me. There is just one small annoying problem. With some songs, iTunes likes to change my genre to "Alternative", and I don't know why it does this or how to stop it. It's kind of a pain; it even changes country music to Alternative. Does anyone know of any settings that I would change that would stop this, or is it just one of those bugs that I'll have to put up with?

This is an easy one to fix!
Stop using Itunes.

I would use Media Monkey 3, but all I get when I try to autosynch a playlist is a message saying that my iPod doesn't have enough space, which is BS because I was trying to synch a playlist of about 100 songs, and my 80gb ipod had no music on it, so obviously it DOES have enough space.

In the portable device options do you have nothing checked in the "Music" tab & under the "Playlists" tab only the playlist you want to synch checked?

Also, are you using MM3, do not believe the new Pods work with MM2.

That's right-I only have the playlist checked. And yes, I am using MM3. Do I have to select the music AND the playlist? Because from what I've read, this puts multiple copies of the same songs on the device.

If you just want to synch the playlist there should be no boxes checked in the music tab. Just the playlist checked in the playlists tab.
This will synch only that playlist and add the songs associated with it.

If this is how you have it set up and you are getting the not enough room message, then I am stumped and do not have enough expertise to figure out what it may be.

Try seeking help in the Device Synchronization thread.

BTW, I meant no offense by the Itunes statement, just having some fun.
